Hi girls
My younger son will turn 15 this coming sunday.I asked him what he wants, and he says "I dont know". My other son will be 21 at the end of august. I have NO idea what to get them anymore. It was easy when they were young. Any ideas?
Thanks
Connie

I go through this with my two brother in laws (one is now 19 and the other just turned 22). They are both somewhat "alternative" kids, one is a musician, the other a skateboarder, so it can't be too mainstream.

Often, giftcards for music is the way to go...Itunes if they have an ipod, or to an independent record store. I also give the 19 year old gift cards to restaurants so he can go out with friends. And, I've even knitted them both hats and scarves with really nice wool (Malabrigo) and unique knitted patterns so it wouldn't be too "normal". They loved them!

gift cards to music stores, gas coupons, oil change coupons, aftershave, electric shaver, favorite clothing store coupons, itunes is a great idea if they're puter saavy and even if they don't have some of the stores kids like to shop at nearby they can shop online at stores like Old Navy and Orange County Choppers.

I've also gotten him things for his car...like an emergency kit with flares etc...,jumper cables, canned air(the kind for a flat tire,so can you get somewhere safe)a gift card for gas...Hope these ideas help! I have 3 grown boys...31, 29 and 24 years old. They love to get gift cards to auto parts stores, and other car stuff, homemade blankets or afghans, and food gifts. One is really into fishing ALOT..so he gets BAss Pro shop cards sometimes.
My 13 and 12 year old sons like to get CDs or gift cards to shops we don't normally shop at, or bike gear. I guess what they are "into" makes a big difference. All of my boys have different interests. Oldest son loved Dodger's tickets one time. Coolers or camping gear are good too.
Good luck. I think shopping for my boys is actually a little easier than for my girls!

I have a nephew and BIL that used to be difficult to buy for. Now they get magazine subscriptions. The nephew is into music so he gets Rolling Stone and the BIL is into tractors so he gets Farm Collector. I'm sure there has to be a publication for whatever your sons are into.
