Help, please! My hubby is bringing home fresh-picked raspberries this morning and I have a recipe for raspberry jam calling for liquid pectin, but all I have on hand is powdered (sure-gel) - can I substitute my powdered pectin for the liquid pectin called for in the recipe??

Why don't you just use the recipe on the sure-gel box? I find that it makes a very good jam...I'm not sure about the differences, though...maybe the sure-gel box has directions for liquidizing it?

I bought my sure-gel from a bulk store and so I don't have any recipes to go with it. :o( Good idea though - make me think...I bet I could find a recipe for it on the sure-gel website - I'll go look now - thanks, FebruaryViolet!!! :o)

I did! (yay!):o) I found a recipe at the sure-jell (I spelled it wrong earlier) site but the recipe I ended up using I found at epicurious and it only used berries and sugar...and it turned out WONDERFULLY!! Thanks again for you help! ;o)

The recipes ARE a little different between the two (liquid and powdered)...good idea to look at the website for recipes.
