I recently picked up this book at a library sale. I've heard some talk about it on other message boards and today saw a blog where a woman started using it for her family and she's lost weight.

I'm not sure where to start. I know I need to make small changes in our menu's. I've begun to do that with our side dishes. Serving brown rice and now added quinoa to our diet. But the whole fermenting foods, sprouting - things like that kind of boggles me.

Is anyone else using this book? Following the guidelines?

I plan on taking the book into the yard with me today to really study it.

(I wasn't sure if this thread should go in the kitchen or healthy living type room)

I have never heard of it. What are the main changes it tells you to make? Sounds interesting.

I have this book. I haven't read the whole book yet, but bits of it here and there. Very interesting. And the Weston A. Price Foundation has some good info, too. She supports raw milk and so do they. Another good reason to like her.

I also have the book. Use things here and there. Good resource. We don't follow completely but I know several who do and love it.
Enjoy

The book is really good. I have done the little menu's. That's where I would start. I'm about to make her sauerkraut recipe as soon as I get my crock from Lehman's. Have fun with it!

Blessings!

I think that it's a fantastic cook book. I have owned it for about 2 years now. I especially love the recipe for Sally's pie crust. I haven't ever found a better (or easier) one.
While I don't use it all the time I agree with Sally Fallon's thoughts on food- along with the WAP Foundation.
