I made a little discovery this morning! The past few days we have awakened to ants marching in a line across our kitchen counter. I don't like to spray because, well, I'm not a fan of poison wafting through my kitchen, so I've been wiping them away with a wet paper towel and putting them in the trash. While I was adding tea tree oil to my laundry powder and idea popped into my head and I ran to get some cotton swabs. I dipped the swab into the tea tree oil and made a circle around the ants, just to see what they would do. They hated it!! So, I swabbed down the edge of the counter where they were climbing up and guess what? No more ants crawling about my kitchen! Happiness and joy is abounding and the ants are gone. Yay!!! I guess it does pay to have a maniacal thought every now and then.

If you find out where they are outside, pour cornmeal around their mounds, they will bring it into the nests and eat it, it will kill them, something about their little tummys blowing up, and the best part is it won't hurt anyone or anything.
