My Pea patch got grossly neglected and all the peas got hard and woody and the pea pods are mostly yellow. So I picked them and got a freezer gallon bag full! I would like to re-plant before the season is over- I should be able to get a new crop in and grown but I am not sure. So do I just take all the peas out of the pod and let them dry or what?

Thanks!

let the pods dry out first then remove the seeds.the pods should become dry.

next time just let the pods dry on the plants instead of picking them off before they are dry to keep down the risk that they could mildew or mold on you. since you have already picked them just lay them out onto a cookie rack/something that can provide a good drying area for the pods/good drying air circulation and wait until pods are fully dried out. then remove seeds.

Thanks Tina! In this heat I think they will be dry in a day or two!
