I'm in central Oklahoma. I think it would be neat to have a chapter somewhere around here. Are there any?

HI Jamie,

I am in SE Oklahoma ~ just found your post! Have there been any responses to get an OK Chapter going?

It would be a great thing for the New Year!

I agree. Our state's rural areas are so wonderful, but we are kind of spread out. It is a 3-hour drive to visit family in the Hobart area. I live in the southern part of Pushmataha County.

I hope more Oklahoma farm girls see the post -

Best Wishes for a Happy New Year to you & yours,

best,

Hi! I am from Ardmore Oklahoma :) Can we make up our own chapter? I am fairly new at this but I can make us badges on my embroidery machine if ya'll want to make one up. We could sew these either on our jackets or purses ;) Nancy M.

Hi girls, I live up in the northeastern corner of the state near Chelsea. It's a long way from you that have posted so far, but I'd be interested. If you're ever up this way we could at least get together for a little visit. Dana

I am smack in the middle between Oklahoma City and Dallas Tx. I am in south Central Oklahoma. I am close to Lake Murray State park , Lake Texhoma, and Turner Falls in the arbuckle mountains. Some pretty places!

Yes, you sure do live in a gorgeous area!! Love the Sulphur, Turner Falls area, as well as Texoma and Murray. Lucky you! I'm just south of Purcell, which is about 20 minutes south of Norman.

It's a small world! I was born and raised here in Ardmore and so were my parents and grandparents! Now I live on an acrege between my mom and my oldest son. My oldest son did a ratical change when his dad died. He had been overweight his entire life and he knew I had heart trouble. I have heart failure, valvular and vascular heart disease, my dad had the same thing and he dropped dead at work at age 57. My son told me he is changing history. In one year he lost 180 pounds! He looks so different. Amazing. Bless his heart, he wants to see his children grow up.

I live in Oklahoma City at the moment. Our property is in Pottawatomie county. I'd love to have a chapter here in Oklahoma.
Hugs,
Chris

I am talking to another okie and she thought about calling one Red River Hens. Do you have any suggestions? There was one out of Marietta called Briars and Lace but I never heard from her.

I thought Red River Hens was cute. I like the denim and roses also. I am a regular jeans wearer and love my roses.

What do the other Oklahoma gals like? I am leaning towards Red River Hens. Can anyone think of a better one? I only wear denim and I have a ton of roses so I like the other too. I can't make decisions!

Red River Hens is cute. How about the Red Mud Hens? Or Red Dirt Hens, Hens and Roses, Red Hens of Oklahoma.
Hugs,
Chris

PS. How about the frozen hens - for tonight anyway. Everyone keep warm!

Frozens hens....ha ha ha ha.....I went ahead and made one called the Red River Hens. My husband really liked the name too. I can make badges with that name on my embroidery machine on muslin. If you want one just give me you member number and address and I will get with it. I have a card called Kays Kitchen that has chickens with aprons doing all types of chores, I especially like the one hanging clothes on the line :) I can do one and put a circle around it and we can attach it to our jackets or our purses. Just let me know :) STAY WARM! I have both wood stoves going in this 800 sq ft cabin and tomorrow I am suppose to get the sewing rooms Ben Franklin stove hooked up! YIPEE!!!

Well I made a patch, I have no idea if we (can) or not, never thought about it, I just know we can't use the mary jane farm hen. Anyone that enjoys talking with us and wants to be in this chapter is fine with me :) Let me know what you think and give me address and numbers! Hugs, Nancy M.

Hey fellow farmgirls, I live in Elmore City now. Was suppose to be a member of the briars & lace chapter but life got in Lea Ann's way like it can do sometimes and we didn't get it started. I used to live in Marietta until just over 8 months ago. Would love to meet some of you and see what we could come up with.

Hey, ladies! I just found this thread. I live in Del City - between Oklahoma City and Midwest City. So, has a chapter been started? Give me details, girls! I need to feel a part of something! Maybe we could meet up somewhere monthly or something. Anything going on?
