I love to make jams and jellies but our new house has a glass top stove and I've heard that you can't can on them, or shouldn't because of the weight breaking the top? So, I'm not taking any chances so I had to come up with another way to make jams, so this year I'm making freezer jams, I've posted the basic recipe on my blog if your interested but I'd like your feedback too, do you have your own recipe for freezer jam? And does anyone process with a microwave? I'll be making salsa soon and I've got to find another way to process? Thanks in advance! Farmgirls are the best!

Sue - I have a smooth top/ceramic top stove - I've used it for canning ever since we bought it in 2000. I've processed quart jars in a large blue canner as well as pints in a pressure cooker canner, no problems. I have a Kenmore - you could check with the manufacturer before ruling out canning.
