Most of my reading is Christian fiction. Since I live near Amish country in Lancaster County, PA, Beverly Lewis and Wanda Brunsetter are two of my favorites. Also love Kim Vogel Sawyer and Cindy Woodsmall.

I have a local used book store that takes in books on trade for a discount on "new" used books. Great way to stock up on our favorite authors!

You are lucky. I wish I had a bookstore close by. Used one about 25 miles away and otherwise have to go about 60!!!
I really enjoy those Amish authors as well!!!

I just read "The Noticer" and it was a pretty good book. A couple of ladies at our church were just raving about it so I bought it from the Women of Faith website.
If anyone is interested in reading it please contact me and I'll be glad to send it your way! :)

I just finished Quaker Summer and Plain Perfect, two separate novels that were packaged in one volume. I really liked Plain Perfect, it was a good old-fashioned love story set in Lancaster. Loved it.

Quaker Summer was a bit of a difficult read, but so, so worth it. It's definitely struck a chord with me and I whole-heartedly recommend it.

Beth Wiseman wrote Plain Perfect, and Lisa Samson wrote Quaker Summer.

I have an extra copy of In His Steps by Charles Sheldon. It is a book that has made me really stop and think before I do things.
Anyone interested let me know. You can email me.

I like these books too. I've been sitting here with a pen and sheet of paper, writing all the authors down for the next library trip! I have read/am reading Janette Oke (love her), Beverly Lewis, and was just introduced to Lauraine Snelling by another farmgirl. I'm on book 2 of the Red River of the North series - so good. I know it's not really *Christian* fiction, but I still go back and read the Little House series every year around this time. It really makes me remember to be thankful for what we have and remind me that it is okay to not "go crazy" trying to give ($) more than we can because we can give (love and warmth and friendship) and that's enough. I love that series.

Little House is awesome and I have a couple kids at school reading it with me for a class :-) There is so much garbage out there so nice to have something decent to read.
I just started Who Do I Talk to? by Neta Jackson. It is #2 in the Yada Yada House of Hope Series. Read all the Yada Yada, they were great and this series is good so far as well.
Lauraine Snelling is really good, I like that series!
