I have some roses from my SIL's wedding, and where we pulled the leaves off they are growing back, the flowers are dying but they are putting on new growth, I would love to grow a plant for her, does anyone know what to do? Right now I have them in a vase of water. Any suggestions would be great. |

I'd take off the flowers, recut the stem and dip it in Rootone (or use some 'willow water'), and then put it in a little pot of sand. It may grow. But lots of roses -- especially the kind florists use -- are grown/grafted on a more vigorous rootstock. So may not continue to grow in the long run. You're sweet to think of this -- hope it works out for you.

Thanks, I did cut off the rose right above the 1st stalk of new growth, they seem to be fine today, I will try to put some of them in sand today. |
