Don't you just hate them??????? I saw one of the dang little pretty moths they come from yesterday on my broccoli. I probably looked like a fool trying to catch it. Never did manage. I need to get a spray of dish soapy water or garlicky water ready before there are more!

Yuck, I really hate those bums!!! I have about 75 broccoli, cabbage and kohlrabi plants that I walked through the other day, knocking the worms off with a stick, into my son's little sand bucket, where they met an untimely death via drowning!! AHHH it felt good!! The next day I walked through and only found 5 or 6 of them. Yesterday I didn't see any, but I am sure they are still there. It doesn't help that they are almost a perfect match for the color of the leaves, does it? Sneaky boogers... |

The little cabbage worms don't bother me too much, I mean I still don't squish 'em with my bare hands or anything, but it is the tomato hornworms that get me!! Yikes, those suckers are scary!! And way, way bigger than what should be legal. Yuck yuck yuck!!! |

I agree about those tomato hornworms. They are ugly and gross. I've gotten to checking my tomatoes daily. Usually they are straight up from their droppings on the ground. At least that's how I find them.
I've given up the broccoli, cabbage planting because of the cabbage worms.

I've never planted cabbage until this year, as well as broccoli...is this what I have to look forward to? I must add to this that I had 5 tomato plants last year and not one of those gross tomato horn worms were to be found. I remember those from my childhood, but not any cabbage worms...
