Okay...I shampooed PART of what was once white carpet and it actually came clean! And I used a cup of vinegar in with the shampoo in the rug machine which REALLY worked well. Thanks Alee...I picked up that tip from a past post she did. Anyway, I have pictures on my blog of part of the living room...the part that's clean! LOL! You didn't really think I was going to show you the ratty part did you?!?! LOL! I'm still looking for a recipe for a "green" shampoo to use in my rug machine but I may have to experiment myself. Yes...this is how I spent my Memorial Day weekend....but it's raining here so I don't feel so bad about staying inside.

Oh my gosh Sandra! I love vinegar in my shampooer! It really perks things up doesn't it! Try shampooing furniture that has a toddler loose on it every day! Wow the return water was GROSS!
