Wow, Morocco! How fun. The hubs and I did not go on a honeymoon right after we were married. We chose to spread it out over 28 years. ;)

San Francisco......but our marriage coincided with an interivew trip for hubby right after we married. All expense paid! He was offered the job (if he had taken it, we would be much richer now dollar wise) but after a lot of thinking, and being newlyweds with a lot of change on our plates as was, we decided we were not cut out for California. But that trip was a blast!!!!!
And today we are very rich in things other than money........

We spent 10 days in Canada in Niagara Falls and then 2 days in Manhattan. Oh I wish we could go on a second honeymoon.....maybe in a couple years when I don't have so many babies!!!! (Nothing like proof of a successful honeymoon huh?) |

We went to Florida to Disney; 20 years later we took our 4 children there but I would not ride the rides as I had enjoyed 20 years before on our honeymoom. How one's stomach changes to make wild rides intolerable over the years!

Hubby & I got married on a Christmas tree farm in Vermont. We did not tell anyone. It was gorgeous, fresh snow, & trees everywhere. In Vermont, you do not need a witness, but the farm owners dog was there so she sat in. We stayed at a great bed & breakfast & cross country skied the whole state for 2 weeks. & the day after we left our B& B, JFK Jr & his wife showed up.. Would have loved to have seen him in person. I heard her was very down to earth; his wife however was mad about being in the cold.. I myself, loved it. It was perfect. |

Very nice and romantic Lisa that would have been a great trip. Hubby and I got married at the court house in Idaho. Then we went on a five day horse back ride 10 miles up into the mountains of Montana by two lakes. Didn't see anyone for the whole time. That was in July, we woke up the last morning to two inches of snow had to head down quickly before it got to bad but that is a whole story in itself. It was a honey moon to remember. Someday when I have time I will tell you all about it. That was 13 yrs ago. Lisa Marie knows. Hee Hee Hee.

We didn't go on one right away. We waited until our 1 year anniversary and then went to a little bed and breakfast for the weekend on our 1 year anniversary. :)

Betweeen my husband and I we have six daughters. His daughters were grown and were getting married one by one when we decided to get married. Family relations between the "wicked stepmother" and the step daughters was not too warm and fuzzy so my husband and I had Grandma watch my little ones and honey and I took off for Las Vegas. We got married by a bloated Elvis, I held plastic flowers and our witness was named Slick Willie. We had a wonderfull time, just he and I away from the tension. It was the third marriage for each of us and we had both had the big and fancy weddings before. This was just the way we wanted and it no matter how cheap and funny it sounds, was the best time we could have had. |

First marriage to Ole Ron, we eloped to Bartlesville OK and our best friends went with us. We ate at the Dairy Queen then went to the drive in theater. Ole Ron was on the way to the Army in just a few days. 25 years later we divorced, then remarried. The same best friends went with us to Eureka Springs Ark. |

We went to Nashville in our car full of condoms and all kinds of goofy stuff people threw in it. We didn't have much money so one night I hid in the floorboard of the car and my hubby told them he was alone. We were bad back then. We went to Opryland Amusement Park. It's not there anymore. Then we went to a park in Kentucky somewhere and ended up at his momma's house where we were able to sleep together! We could not do that before we were married. She was the best MIL ever.

We went to Maine. Stayed in a perfect cottage on a lake. Visited Elliot Coleman's farm. Picked wild blueberries. Visited Acadia National Park. Had a delightful time.

We spent a week in Cozumel - lots of fun stories there. Then, came back to TX, spent the night in a nice hotel in San Antonio, then camped out around Hippie Hollow at Lake Travis in Austin. Then, Chris' brother got married in OK, so went straight there for the wedding, then finally back home. |

Such sweet stories! Like Belle, me and mine divorced and remarried. The first time around, there was no honeymoon per se. We married on a Friday and I began a new job the following Monday. Seventeen years later we divorced, but a few months after took a "pre-remarriage honeymoon" trip to Gatlinburg, TN, then another "pre-remarriage honeymoon" trip to Cozumel, and the following year when we actually remarried we spent a week on the beach in FL. Kinda made up for that initial lack of a honeymoon! During the pre-divorce years, we never really got away together, just us two. Post-divorce we get away to "somewhere other than here" as much as possible to keep the honeymoon feeling alive and well!
