I recently heard that you can make a toner for your skin using Rose Hips and Witch Hazel. Has anyone tried this? Does anyone have a recipe they would like to share?

Thanks! :)

Or you could just use the witch hazel. I think the rose hips would make it smell lovely and they do add properties to the witch hazel that help with redness, etc. I just use chilled witch hazel, after washing with a paste of baking soda and honey. A different scent would be nice every now and then. :)

I have two recipes that I use and they both work just fine for me.

English Tea Astringent
2 tea bags (any kind)
1/4 cup boiling water
1/4 cup witch hazel
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Pour boiling water of the tea bags and steep for an hour. Combine tea with witch hazel and lemon juice. Apply after cleansing with a cotton ball.
-----------------------------
German Chamomile Tea Smoother
1/2 cup fresh chamomile flowers or two tea bags
1 cup boiling water

Steep flowers or tea bags in boiling water in a ceramic container for an hour. If using flowers, strain and put in a clean botle if applying with a cotton pad or spray on skin and let dry.

Hope one of these will work for you.
