I know people say that it is rude to ask a woman how old she is, but I really think you ladies are confident enough with yourselves to not mind. I was just curious because we have such a wide range of ages and I think it is great, and very helpful to have the opinions of people from different generations.
I know that I am always surprised at people's pictures when they post to the "What do you look like" thread. Apparently I envision people very differently than what they really are. So I was just wondering about our ages. I always think that people are younger than they are. Especially people younger than me. I see high-school age people now and think they must be 11 or 12. Not sure why.
For the record, I will be 29 in 2 weeks. I hope nobody is offended by me asking this! |

I am 47 and sometimes still dont know what I want to do when I grow up! But I do have dreams of living in a cabin in the mountains, getting to be a stay-at-home wife, growing my own food and enjoying the "good life".

I am 69. I don't have a problem with that except my oldest son just turned 52. (OK, I know you are doing the math) Seems like I should be 52. I vividly remember 52. My only problem with 69 is that Ole Ron is 71 and not well. I could go on and on here but won't. YAH! I am 69!!! |

I am 60. I have to say that it is a great time in my life. Doing what I want when I want, just having a great time. You know I have always thought that is why kids and grandparents get a long so great, they both are free to be!

I am going to be 62.. in October. I can't wait to sign up for SS.. I love getting discounts for being a senior! I feel 40 and I fortunately have a very young looking mom.. & I really take after her side of the family.. this is a good thing..

Same here, Karen. I am 50. I really don't know what 50 is supposed to be like. I don't feel 50. I know I don't act 50.
I was with my mom last week and she gets a senior discount. We were at Goodwill. The cashier asked me if I wanted to use my mom's discount, too. Well, yeah, I did! That was nice. Now if she had asked me if I WAS a senior, I would have been upset.
And I am just the past few years realizing what I want to do when I grow up. I am loving my life now. Mary Jane is right about the freedom. It's great.

I just turned 28 and feel like I am just starting to know what I want. Now going about getting to it is another story.

I'm 45 and am feeling it (due to health issues) I can honestly say that I am enjoying my 40's the most :)

I turned 36 in Novemeber- though when I take those age tests on Facebook it says my "real age" is 24- hmmmmm- But since I didn't have a childhood to speak of I guess 24 is good- though I wouldn't want to be where I was when I was 24- I like 36 much better! And on the plus side- I actually enjoy getting older- because I get wiser! lol- I hope!

My goodness, we seem to be getting younger on this second page. I'm going to put a dent in that though. I turned 67 in February and I'm getting to feel my age. I'm not as active as I should be. The garden is coming along though.

I'll be 63 in July. Age is just a number. And my daughter is 45, do that math! Was married and a mother at 16. When I say her age, think that can't be possible, but it surely is. |
