I want to make some bath fizzy bombs and need citric acid. I checked on ask.com and checked a lot of sites but still don't know what it is. All the sites wanted me to order the stuff but I'd rather buy it off the shelf. Can you buy it at, say, Walmart or a health food store?

If anyone has a good recipe for these little squirts, would you share it with me?

Winona

I use citric acid powder for making mozzarella cheese. I order mine, but I have purchased it from a small, family owned pharmacy. I had tried a couple of the bigger chain-type pharmacies and they wouldn't sell to me.
Hope I might have helped. Good luck finding it.

I find it at bulk food stores. I use it for mozz. as well, but you can also use it in canning tomatoes. Never done that though.

I work at a health food store and we carry it in our bulk spice section.

Thanks for the tip Michele and Tammyb. I go to an Amish bulk food store every few months and I've never thought to look for citric acid there. I will next time.
