Ok, it's raining and I work up this morning with a sore/lumpy throat...uugghh!
So I have not been to motivated to do much this morning 'cept fiddle on the computer....
I have several Euro Quilt & Stitchery Blog sites saved in my 'favorites' and thought I would share this cute Red Work idea with you.
It is on the blog of Dagmar, http://quiltmoose.blogspot.com
I just thought this was a cute combination of quilt/R.W.
enjoy.

Love both of them
I collect those iron on tranfers.
I can't help it;
My dear deceased Gran taught me to do that when I was around 7 or 8
My cousin too
I continued on big time.
But,not cousin she hates anything to do with sewing, crocheting or needlework
Gran
always said I was the only one that took after her.
hugs sheila
I hope you feel better soon.

Renee,
that is sooo darling!
The great thing about Red Work is that it can be done in any color...green, blue, purple, brown,,,etc. Sort of like toile but done in hand stitchery.

I layed low today, puttered around the house & caught up on some stitchin'...and drank enough Green tea & Echinacea/Elder tea to float a battle ship! lol!

That is so cute. Where do the patterns come from? Did she make that one up? I am kind of new to all this and would love to do one like that. Her blog is beautiful and I love the German. I have no idea what she's saying but it's neat. And the things she makes. My goodness. Lots of work.

If anyone knows where to get pretty patters like that, I'd love to know. Thanks.

Kris

I was thinking, how cute it would be to do those old "Martha" transfers, you know, The Monday-Sunday images in Red Work! and then maybe stitch a cute matching red (or what ever color you use)trim/ruffle on at the botton of the towel.
I just came across some somewhat vintage flour cloth towels that had the cute little bugs doing "chores" for the week....I will have to take some photos & post on my blog later this week.

Kristin, the cute quilte heart & R.W. was a project that Dagmar received from another gal in her group.
It is interesting to see some of the wonderful stitchery & quilts in Europe....I guess we could say, "quilters & stitchers are held together by a common thread".
