Frannie!!!! Hopping on while little Violet is sleeping--whew! She has been colicky, and it's been a whirlind last few weeks. I love, love, love your new look! Alright...Amie and I are sooo alike. My immediate thought was Uncle Fester, but then I cursed myself for thinking that. Then I read that you were thinking a more modern guy...
How are your muscles--buff, I imagine... I'm going with Mr. Clean :) |

Bonjour gal pals! SO VERY GOOD to see your post, Frannie, and 'hear' your kooky wit, flowing like a river, as always. Dang it on the contest. Clearly, I need to watch more TV....... Lotsa love and hugs, Nance

Oh Frannie, good to hear from you! I think you might look a tad like a crime fighting detective that had a love of tootsie pops. AKA Kojak. Who ever it is, we are all so grateful that you're back with us.

Frannie, you sound downright chipper, gal. That's great! I would call that head a clean slate in lots of ways...fresh start. Hey, maybe you'll come back some wild color you never dreamed of before.
Now on the lookalike - I don't get Amore...it that a channel? But I would venture a guess of Bruce Willis since we're going for a man.

It's good to hear from you, Frannie! You carry off the bald look well...you have a nice shaped head and pretty face. Since everyone is guessing a look-alike, I'm gonna say Daddy Warbucks. You look very well!

i honestly dont know what happened to the answer, i thought i posted it yesterday, but then my brain is working on the fritz at times. i have ejoyed all the guesses, and actually dawn got it right on page 1, homer simpson! i think in person i look just like him. i really wanted to look tres chic but i think it is hard to pull that off with a double chin. but i am discovering the world of head scarves. i had a huge collection of them that i used to craft with and right now i just use them to cover the noggin. glad to hear from all of you and thanks for all the wonderful guesses.

No, No, No! Homer is awful!! You are a million times cuter and tons sweeter! Actually, you do remind me of someone, but I can't put my finger on who it is! I am so glad you are doing better and will pray for the remainder of your chemo to go well. I hope you are journaling this, as it will be something your family could look back on and also something that might be very encouraging to someone else with cancer. Now, lean on in to the computer screen and I will give you a big old farmgirl kiss on the cheek! Hugs & blessings,
Brenda

thanks brenda that was too cute. i am taking all the kisses i can get right now. we are having a big exciting day here at the farm. after several years without a real oven (and i love to cooK) today we got a brand new stove. i cant wait. it has a griddle and a convection oven, which i know nothing about and about 4-burners. a new cookin toy. yippee. i think it has been about 5 years since i have had a working oven. i didnt know that homer is awful, but my oldest daughter kept protesting over homer also. i do think i really look alot like daddy warbucks aka albert finney..

WOW Frannie, a new stove, how exciting. What were you using for an oven before this? I put just about everything in the oven. You will love having one again. Nancy JO

Hey frannie! Great to see you again. Thanks for sharing the photo. I just saw this post, I was going to guess Jane Curtain. I hope you are doing well there, I've been missing your posts.

What a coincidence! I just started a topic asking where you were! I had looked for you and was worried where one of my fellow KY gals had gone. Did you move to TX??? I am so glad you have kept that wonderful sense of humor. You do NOT look like Homer S.

Haha.... actually Homer is awful. And you look NOTHING like him. Your hint about the cartoon character being current struck me. However, Homie IS a survivor. No other cartoon has lasted as long as his! He really does love his family and...donuts. I had fun with this!

glad ya did dawn, i did too. chemo is a pretty strange thing. it kinda works the opposite of my brain. and every day ya wake up feeling different. i have three more treatments to go and then i have a break and then i have radiation. i have gained weight on chemo? (how fair is that?) but i seem to have weird cravings. like anything that revolves around chocolate. aw yes, chocolate, in my world it has always been one of the major food groups. also i am pretty sure that breast cancer caused me to turn into one of those lap dog people... yes, i now have a genuine paris hilton purse dog. this is so not me. but he does totally love me and he keeps my chest warm. i will post an introduction to clooney later.

okay, here is the pic of the "men" in my life, country, my dh, and clooney my newest love. yes he is a lap dog, i cant believe it cause i have always had working dogs, like our beloved cosmo, the pyrenes. anyway, since my breast cancer i have been cold on my chest and on my head, and i hugged little clooney and i was hooked. that was the warmest i had been since my surgery. he is a great companion right now. he sleeps with me when i sleep, which is many hours a day. and he herds chickens at night with country and he is just tooooo cute, and he is a very quiet dog, not much of a yapper. my sister cannot believe i have a purse dog. that is just not you she says. but i am learning that life altering things sometimes leads to reflection and life alterations, and some turn out to be good.

BIG hugs Frannie! I've been through the chemo with family members and I wish I had the magic answer to what tasted good. My dad swears by lentil soup =) But chocolate and coffee would be up there on my list of must-haves. Again *HUGS*

thanks for your responses, they keep me grounded to the real world. today i had a sleepy day and literally slept all day. woke up about 10:00pm. i dont know what this is all about. my blood work doesnt really explain the fatique, but my doc thinks it is because we have had some very warm days. so when i do sleep alot i do take time to check in on the farmgirl world and see what everyone is up to . my chemo hasnt really affected my eating. i can actually eat anything, and if my taste is affected it doesnt really taste bad it just doesnt have a taste at all, just a texture. thanks again for chekin in and lettin me know you are thinking of us here.
