Has anyone ever made these? I love grape nuts, but have stopped buying cereal, so I thought I would give it a shot. I have found several recipes, and this is the one I am trying:

Right now I am in the "crisping" stage. I tried a piece of the baked batter before I crumbled it and it tastes good. Not really like Grape Nuts so much, and a little sweet, but still, pretty good. I am excited to try it as cereal! |

Grape Nuts are my favorite cereal. I think I will make some tomorrow. :) Thanks for sharing.

| OK, I had a bowl of my "Fake Nuts" and they taste pretty good, but not at all like Grape Nuts. They don't have the crunch or the flavor. It is more like eating a bowl of crushed up sweetened wheat croutons. Sounds kinda gross, but really, is not bad. I think I will look for a different recipe to try... |

I have a recipe that I have used quite a few times. It's from an Amish cookbook. I really like it, but it has quite a bit of sugar and I haven't made it in a while.. I will see if I can find it to post.
