HI Patti! How far is Kentuck from the OHio border? Maybe when your feeling a bit more spry we can meet up and I can humor you in person.

I think there are a few more farmgirls in the KY area that you might wanna meet up with. I know that gosh...I forgot her user name already.... but her name is Tammy and she and I live about 4.5 hours apart and are thinking of going to the Newport Aquarium sometime this summer...we'll let you know when!

Okay kids, its FRIDAAAAYYYYYY!
What are you up to today? I'm gonna jump in the shower and scrub my dirty.......neck. And then I'm off to the chiropractor. And then...I'll be driving the back roads in search of strawberries. Then this weekend, the hubsters cousin is getting married, and fingers crossed that it will dry out long enough to get the pumpkins in the ground!

Good morning Mavens!

Happy birthday Karen.

Dawn, I'm going to spend five boring hours over in Plummer, Idaho getting my first aid/CPR certifcation. Then I'm coming home and baking strawberry cupcakes. and watering my garden. and making dinner. and getting ready to babysit Queen Bodica, aka Gorgeous Georieous, the firecracker, Miss Georgia, tomarrow while my daughter helps a friend move.

Then I have to clean, clean, clean on the house, Monday I have to fix a broken water line at the cemetery that the excavator broke while digging a grave for this last Wednesday, mow, probably interview for that receptionist job, blah, blah, blah. LOL, don't I have an exciting life?!!LOL!

Happy birthday dear Karen.
Teresa Sue, congratulations on your interview, all fingers and toes crossed for you.
Dawn, are you going to the wedding ? Hope you are feeling better by now.
Welcome Patti, you will find as much company in this group as you can wish and sometimes more that you wish, but that is the fun of it.
I haven't been here a lot recently but hope to hop in much more. We are having a gorgeous weather, it is hot and the little plants in the garden are growing by the minute.
Happy friday everybody.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, girls (and the clue). Fifty-three years old. It doesn't look any younger in print vs. numbers - sounds so old, huh? Maybe because it's a prime number. Does that mean I'm entering my prime? Love to all.

God bless -

Karen and Annika, what are you girls thinking? Do not even think about anything connected with winter!!!!! I'm still having nightmares about the last two winters!!!LOL! Dawn, that goes for you too!!haha

Rene' are you about to have your wheels run off with all you have to do for the BBB? You will deserve a vacation I bet, LOL, when this is over.

Well, gotta run dear friends, off to Cheney this morning for a grandbaby workout with a little redheaded task-master waiting for me, lol.

TS: Wish I would've known about the kittens. I have a barn full. I am not pleased. Seeing how I cannot sew on board my flight, I guess that I cannot stuff 5 kittens in my carry-on either. I suppose the claws could be considered a weapon and the poopies, a bio-hazard. The mewing would be a sound violation and possibly interfere with airplane radio frequency....soooo in my barn they stay.

She's doing okay. They said she was nine weeks old, I say in a pig's eye she's that old. She is about as big as a barfed up hair ball, lol. I'm watching her to make sure she doesn't get dehydrated. I hope she grows up to be a big vicious mouse terminator. Still haven't named her. Thinking maybe Dot, she's only that big. John calls her hair ball, lol.

Teresa Sue, little kittens are wonderful. They think you are their mom and follow you around all the time.
You are doing a great job I am sure, please post a picture. Dot is a cute cute name.

Whats she look like? You could name her Minnie as in "mouse". Or she could be Agatha. I like Agatha. Or Mildred.

Yeah, Mama Kitty met her match on the main road. I still can't believe how choked up I get to think about it. The babies are WILD! I mean, feral wild cats. There will be no getting close enough to catch them unless I use a coon trap. Then, I need my black walnut gloves inorder to pick them up. Haha...remember that moment of mine? The black walnuts? lol!

Today I unpacked my suitcase...and repacked. I'll probably do that about 3 more times. I'm totally over packing and I'm trying not too... UGH. I hate not knowing what to pack. And then, I'll probably forget something...like my underwear.... Do I need a jacket? Do I need a sweatshirt? Is it really really hot or is it just hot? Today we are 83 degrees and it feels like 87 with the humidity. Oh the dispair! Oh the decisions! I've already laid out enough shirts for 2 weeks. UGH!

Hello everyone! I've been traveling with Cheryl up to Yakima WA to her daughters graduation. We had a nice time. Went to a casino for a short time and I gotta say I miss using coins and all the old slot machines. This new modern game stuff just isn't up my alley. Guess I get to have more money in my pocket for the BBB. I plan to start packing here this week also so I make sure I have everything I hope to bring with me. Are any of you bringing anything to barter with? I have an old Singer sewing treadle machine I thought of bringing for a barter. Is this the norm for one of these gallas? I don't want to bring it if it's not. I don't really have anything else for barter but sure look forward to seeing what I can come home with.
I'm gonna have to rest these old bones a bit before I make this next trip. All that sitting wears on me. It was really nice seeing all the open country up yonder. We stopped and took some nice pics of old barns and stuff on the way home. I really need to get another chip for my camera before the BBB. I plan to take a ton of pics. Now it's only 16 days away from leaving here to the BBB. Oh boy! Start packing.

Dawn, where did you get the egg plate that is featured in your blog ? It is gorgeous. Now I am on the look out for one like this. Is it Ohio glass ?? Your eggs are just beautiful, tooooo bad you are so far, I would buy some from you every week, we do lots of baking here and I am in pie mode.
I so envy you girls, to go to BBB.
