Ooh! I was so mad today!! I have been sick with a fever all day, so hubby had to stay home and watch the children. He spent all day screaming at them and acting like it would kill him if I asked him to do anything for me, like get a glass of juice or something. I even changed a diaper!! It is now 7:00 here and I couldn't take it anymore. He hasn't gotten outta his chair except to go to my Mom's for dinner and to make him and the kids some lunch. So, like I said I'd had enough and the last time he got up and went to go sit down in front of his computer again, I asked him if his butt was imprinted in the seat cushion. He then said no different than the imprint of mine in the opposite one. He is referring to the time I spend in front of the computer and on the sewing machine. No thought for the fact of the $ I amsaving by sewing our childrens clothes!! Well, like I said in the topic...wet hen alert!!! It made me so mad I went off on him how that I didn't think it would kill him to get off of his butt and quit yelling at the kids. I told him that whenever he is sick I wait on him hand and foot and get anything he needs without him asking. I know, I will be eating crow, but I just couldn't help it.
After I got my cereal (finally able to walk to the kitchen counter--not far, but my head felt like I left it in the bed) I told him I would gladly trade him places and he could be sick and I will spend the whole time screaming at the kids, in front of the computer, huffing and puffing whenever he asked for anything.

ACK!! I know I shouldn't plot my revenge for it will taste twice as bitter in the morning. Hopefully, the morning will bring better things!:)

Oh Jess, I do hope you feel better. Women are just naturally more nurturing then men and it is very frustrating, well okay, down right irritating when We are sick and they have to do "our job" for a change. Hang in there and take care of yourself. Don't let it get to you or you will stay sick longer.
I will pray for your wellness.
God Bless,
Cindy

THank you Cindy. It has been crazy around here and it seems like whenever I get sick it turns into a 3ring circus. I feel a little better today. I did talk things over with CR last night before bed. (We have the no going to bed mad rule) I get so overwhelmed sometimes.I imagine its like that for all wives and mothers. Being sick, just fans the flames.
I appreciate your prayers. I think it is just a sinus infection from the changing weather. It should can lay me out.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement!
hugs

You must give yourself permission to be sick. It's your body's way of telling you to rest and get better, mentally, physicially, emotionally, etc. Do not apologize for being sick. Hope you get to feeling better. (((HUGS)))

I just noticed this post and hope you are feeling better. You are not alone and things can get better! I remember when I had all four wisdom teeth removed (two had to be cut out) and had a ten month old to care for. I asked my hubby to just watch her that one day and all of a sudden he said "This house is a mess!" and started cleaning! I said I didn't care about the house, I wanted to lay down and could he watch her. I ended up getting so mad and going to my mom's house where I sat in a chair and let her watch the baby. Or when I had a new baby and was sitting on the couch nursing and hubby comes in the room with a sandwich and says "You don't have to worry about lunch, I made myself something" and walks away. I'm sitting there thinking "And where is mine?!" Little things like that add up but guys are just so clueless sometimes. Somehow, somewhere they learn. Now it's almost eight years that we have been married and hubby unloads/loads the dishwasher, helps with picking up the house, and helps with the kids. Today I got to take a bubble bath alone and take an hour nap with the baby. Pure bliss! I think guys just have to learn that we are not their mamas and they need to grow up and take care of US sometimes! *hugs*

Jess... I am sorry you are feeling poorly.. I hope your husband had some time to "think" about the situation.. Sometimes all the talk we give seems to not enter the man brain.. but a few words do get through. I pray he doens't get sick.. Cuz I am afraid I would tell him Paybacks are hell...& could be real bad... (Hugs) ... I have No sympathy for Men who don't help out.. poor kiddies are probably really confused eh? I know men can be babies..If he gets sick.. send him to his mama...
