Hope I'm not too late to jump in. I do a monthly newsetter for family. I hear back that my older relatives love to get it and several cousins get together when it arrives. I would love to get some mail back. I love letters!

Right now I'm working for FEMA as an Environmental Specialist, but I'm a writer at heart, 30+ years at it. I have a fantasy triology almost completed and am trying to find an agent. When I'm doing neither of those, I love to can. I have more jars than just about anything else in the house but books. That was the first thing I built when I bought my house. I was out of room as soon as it was built. I have another wall to build out, but mom is temporarily living with me, so that's her room for the moment.

I'm working on getting some gardens going, but seem to be gone during hte best part of the year to do that. I managed to get 4 fruit trees in the ground last year and look forward to more work in the yard.

I look forward to pen pals.

Laurie

I'd love to join in too! I am 36, a wife of 10 years to the love of my life; mom of 2 teenagers. I love quilting, hand embroidery & card making; every once in a while I'll through another craft in there to spice it up! I have never lived on a farm, but my father passed his 20 years on farm down to me in the "jeans"! I love gardening, cooking, collecting vintage this & that; particularly linens, aprons and papers right now, but anything can catch my eye at anytime! I enjoy all sorts of music, books, and movies...favorite authors & actors include Janette Oke, Jan Karon, Maya Angelou; John Wayne, Cary Grant, Kate Hepburn & Jean Arthur.
I just went to back full-time and my husband changed jobs & is switching to nights after 25 yrs at the same place. So we are a family in change!

I would love to hear from you farm girls! I love coming home to a letter in the box!

My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior. Luke 1:46,47

Oh me too! I'd love to get letters.

I am a 28 yr old homeschooling mama to two wonderful gifts, my 9 yr old daughter and 5 yr old son. I have been married for 10 years to my best friend. We plan to buy a farm very soon, once we get all our ducks in a row.

I sew, quilt, bake, garden, knit and I am learning to spin. Soon I want to learn to make my own bio-degradable soap. I also have been writing creatively (novels...mystery/romance/adult contemporary novels) and hope one day to get noticed.

Anyway, if anyone else out there has not found a pen pal, I would be delighted.

Please add me to your list for exchanging real hand-written letters! Yes, it is a joy to exchange real hand written letters!
I am in NJ on almost an acre - I raise Cocker Spaniels and have many dogs, lots of cats and two goats and lots of chickens.
I am a writer and write for Herb Quarterly magazine and blog for Grit magazine. I work from home due to my fibromyalgia which has caused me to make some adjustments to my life.
I am a nature lover and love working outside and playing with herbs and making herbal tinctures and salves.
If you want to exchange letters, email me for my addy.

Kathy I would love to exchange letters with. I too miss sending and receiving letters. I live in Northeastern Colorado close to the Wyoming boarder. We have a little over an acre, I have 2 dogs. I am currently finishing a degree in Behavioral Science from California (we moved here 2 years ago). I love nature and send as much time as I can outside. I grew up in Oregon and Southwest Washington, in, on and around farms. I have always loved to be outdoors and around animals and am at this time studying pronghorns. I work in Fort Collins and in my spare time I am writing children's non-ficton.

Just wanted to share a group with all of you who enjoy snail mail. I've been a member for many years. It's called The Letter Exchange and they publish a newsletter with "ads" written by those seeking pen friends, and relating to multiple subjects. Responses are sent via their forwarding service, so you don't share your address with someone until you wish. They do not take any ads from prisoners. There are sections for gardeners, people with specific philosophical views, "ghost" letters in which you and your partner take on re-enactment roles (like, say, Anne Shirley and Diana Barry, or Charlotte Bronte and Charles Dickens)... just many, many different sections. You get a certain number of free words for ads with your paid subscription to the newsletter, which is entertaining on its own. I like to support their efforts because it is really hard for people to find penpals in today's world, and I don't want to see it die out.

I would love to be part of this. I love writing letters and really miss doing it now that I e-mail everyone in my family.

I am 50 and have been married 30 years. Have 2 daughters and a step-son. 3 granddaughters and 4 step-grandkids. I live on a small farm with chickens, ducks, guineas, 2 calves. and 6 pregnant goats ready to pop any day now. I have 2 huge gardens that I grow for us and selling at a farmer's market. I can and freeze whatever I can. Raise our meat, too. Milk goats. gather eggs.

So if anyone needs an extra letter writer, I'm available!
