My Late Father In law gave me this basket years ago, its my favorite basket. Made a yummy loaf of Banana bread today, its a PAULA DEAN receipe. I know its good because I had two pieces. Anything that has a whole stick of butter in it is bound to be good. You almost feel like you need to lay down after you eat it.
Beautiful basket and with such history...that makes it all the more special. Yes....Paula always breaks my butter budget but what a way to go! I may have to hit you up for that recipe later...I only have her Christmas Cookbook. I finally figured out how to "follow" your blog...DUH...I swear the brain cells are dwindling...and how do you get "comments"...my blog has nowhere to leave them...how do I enable that? I won't even go into your snowflakes and the music that some have on theirs....that's for much later! I'm not REALLY gardening yet...just planning and ordering and starting seeds. It is 41 here and I'm cold...another sign of old age or bad circulation! Aren't you proud of me....about the blog? Me too....now MOI has to go lay down! Was Richard mad at you or just waiting for Spring when he was hitting those golf balls?

That is a very nice basket. So nice to have a pretty thing with such a good history. I am so glad that I don't care for Banana Bread---I know, go ahead throw darts at me--anyway it sounds so good I of course would try a bit or two.

That is a beautiful basket. And I just have to ask this question: How do you stay so slim and trim with all the fabulous stuff you bake????? I feel like I gain weight just drooling from a distance! :D

My hubby hits golf balls all over the backyard (you mentioned your hubby was in the basement doing the same) and sometimes he even gets his club out and hits sweet gum balls that fall from the trees. They are about the size of golf balls, and it is his way of raking the yard!!!! :)
Great basket! And don't you just love a quiet Sunday? We had one too.
