I just mailed off my sets...I found a picture of a French Blue Cottage quilt that I could whip up into a delicious French PINK Cottage quilt whenever my sister charms arrive. :} I can hardly wait!

wow...love those pink charms...I can't wait to get mine either. Just came back from the fabric store and my fabrics are in the wash as I type. They will get mailed next week. This is great...Thank you Kathy.

Oh... seeing those photos of pink charms is making me so excited. Can't wait to see what we all get. Thanks again Kathy for putting this together. Isn't it fun to know our charms will be from farmgirls all around the country or even the world. Whatever we do with them will be so much more special than if we just went out and bought our own fabric. I think this is one of my favorite swap ideas and the color made it even more fun. Think Pink!

Good morning ladies!
I received a package of charms yesterday from quiltingfarmergirl, Barbara. Thank you very much.
I am not going to post anymore photos. I would like everyone to be suprised when they receive all the charms back.
Now, this is were I stand in front of the class with my arms crossed over my chest with a stern look on my face.......
All charms are due to me by March 27th.
I think that we all have plenty of time to find fabric, cut and mail to meet this deadline. If you do not. If someting happens at home, and it sometimes does, and you can not meet this deadline, please let me know, its ok, no hard feelings, but let me know because it would not be fair to everyone that has sent in their charms on time to have to wait an additional week or two. ok???
excuse me as I jump off my soap-box.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. I am kind of busy this weekend and my not be on line till monday.

Kathy, my charms were sent out this morning. A note will follow shortly - I forgot to include something in the package.
This was my first Farmgirl swap, first charm swap and I hope to do more. I like pinks, but I found that I don't have all that many in my stash, so a pink charm swap is perfect.

Take a look at this quilt top.
I started it yesterday. My office was closed yesterday. My husband was out snow-blowing our driveway and his mother’s driveway.
This is all 6 1/2 inch charms.
I first thought that with the dark green boarder it would be big enough for a throw. But since I still had charms left, I added one more row and a tan boarder.
So, see what you can make with all your charms??? Now imagine this in pink!!!

I'm so glad to hear my charms arrived.
Kathy, I really like the colors of that quilt. The 6 1/2 in. charms really do make up a very pretty quilt. I really didn't give any thought as to making a quilt with the pink charms, but seeing your quilt I can really see a beautiful quilt for Spring and Summer.

I am a big "swapper". I love to swap fabric the most. I honestly have plastic buckets of fabric: fat quarters, 2 1/2 strips, charms, quilt blocks and lots of other stuff that I got in different swaps. It is like my gold. I can stare at it. I empty the buckets and sort them. I draw up quilt tops. I have even used some in a mini apron swap.
Monday I was just in the mood to quilt. I like the earthy colors. Green and brown, and that is what I made. Now I am not too sure how I am going to quilt it. I was thinking of just putting a button at each intersection. Or maybe a tie. I am not very good at free-hand quilting. And, I do not yet have a long arm machine. But one day I might have one. I know a fabric quilt shop that will rent time on her long arm. And I believe it is stitch regulated. I may just try my hand at that.
