Hi Ladies,

I already need to thank you for the feeling of belonging I have gained from following your posts over the last few weeks. I am not a mutant after all! What a wonderful feeling and what a wonderful bunch of ladies you all are. Not to mention a huge source of inspiration and information!

So, I now have humbly gotten up the courage to join you wonderful women (actually my husband did it for me as I am techno challanged!). I am 36 and live in Caspar which is right next to Mendocino in Northern California. I was born and raised here and live next to my parents with my husband on two acres. My passion is animals and I currently have my 30 year old shetland pony, a 5 year old palamino, two bottle baby barbadoes sheep, a rabbit, a duck, two cats and a dog,..most of which are rescues. I make beaded jewelry for a living and I love gardening, canning, and basically all the facets of homesteading life that you gals are into.

I am so excited to finally be a part of this! I look forward to talking with all of you.

Welcome Lily, you have certainly come to the right place. All kinds of interesting, knowledgeable and generous farmgirls. I had the same experience as you when I found this forum, it is really an amazing place.

HI Lily!
You sound like a kindred spirit! So happy you decided to join in the farmgirl fun! Wow! How do you have time for the computer with all those babies? I only have a dog (Im a farmgirl at heart) and I barely find the time sometimes. (Of course, Ive got two toddlers, but I am sure that has NOTHING to do with it...lol
Hope you'll have blast joining in!
hugs

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, cookies in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming. "WOOHOO, What a Ride!"

Welcome Lily, I'm a fellow animal lover too! We don't have too many at the moment, 3 dogs and some peafowl. I'm glad you've joined us and I look forward to knowing you better.
