My simple joys today are that it's warmed up considerably here today (was 66 degrees @ 1pm) the sun was shining, I got to go to lunch with friends, and when I got home I opened up the windows to let some fresh air into the house.

My simple joy is the light in the sky this week - it has brought light back into my heart. I got to see the Olympic and Cascade mountaing ranges and Mt. Rainier on Monday in very clear light and I feel restored and renewed - ready to face the rest of February

My simple joy is watching my indoor cat switch her whiskers and "stalk" the birds that come to our feeder outside our kitchen window...never mind the glass window that separates them. Too funny!

Packing an old, passed down crock full of cabbage and salt with my daughter. In a bit we will see if a 3 year old will eat sauerkraut, lol!

The day was unseasonably warm...it was nice to feel the sun on my face.

It's the middle of the night and I can't sleep (pain from a back injury that has me using a cane) but I got my mail to discover photos of my friend and her new twins. Boys born early and in ICU but mama and babies oh, so beautiful. Truly.

this is fun! My simple joy today was chatting with my best friend in the world (un-interupted) while our daughters were at their dance class.

This morning I sat for a long time watching my cat Addie taking a bath in the sunshine in our living room. Every once in awhile she would stop and mew at the birds outside the glass door (we call it "kitty tv"). When I have the luxury of watching, it seems all is right with the world and it is such a contentedness. Like being in the presence of the Creator to watch His creature. Debbie

today it is that I got a wonderful gift from my new secret pal..and my hubby is putting up my new clotheslines! I have always had them up to 2 years ago when we sold our place and lived in rent houses until we could get our house built. I love to sit on my porch and watch my clothes blowing in the breeze.

What a wonderful thread this is! My simple joy for today is a warm fire and a hot cup of tea!

my simple joy is not so simple to me but it has been joyous! My simple joy is my two year old daughters new bedtime routine, and watching her fall asleep happily and without a fight and hear her last words before she falls asleep " mama, will you pat me?"

My simple joy today was to go to a local discount grocery store and find delightful organic products (not all but quite a few) at such a great price...I got everything I needed for half the price of Walmart and on top of that I got 10% off because Wednesday's are Senior Citizen discount! I asked how old you had to be to qualify and I definitely qualified so getting old isn't so bad after all!!!!!

Being 'stalked' by my youngest kitty as I go about my chores. Carrying laundry up the stairs, and a rumble of small paws as a little furry body rushes past...go out to feed the chickens, she's running behind me mewing...sit at the computer, she parks herself in front of me on the desk. It's not to tough to be worshiped--even if its from a 6lb cat!

My simple joy today is really a big one. The lumber for our barn is being delivered. So it will be lots and lots of happily hauling and stacking wood!
