Wahooooo! my catalog for the 2009 Sewing & Stitching Expo (Feb.26-Mar.1) arrived in todays mail......

I could not make it last year no thanx to the horrible weather,,,
I really want to attend, but once again, Snow has reared it's ugly head....
So I will keep my fingers crossed & hope that I will be able to attend....if the weather shows signs of clearing up.

For you West WA. ladies, hope you will be able to attend.
It is once again being held at the Puyallup Fairgrounds in Puyallup, WA.

Hi Sherri, and others attending, I hope to get into a Wednesday morning seminar and a couple classes on Saturday. Maybe we could meet up for a brownbag lunch one of those days?

Lizbeth, I am going to attend the Weds morning seminar too! I need to learn some new tricks for garment construction. I hope I get in. Mailing my registration today.

If anyone wants to carpool from Ellensburg, I'm game. I'm willing to tweak my schedule if need be. Now to figure out a place to stay!

PS - A dinner meet-up may be better because we can see everything. It closes at 6pm, do a meet-up & hit Pacific Fabrics for their activities & give-aways.

Kristine, do you mean Pacific Fabrics at the vendor area or the actual store? I will have to figure out where that one is as I don't know.

The actual store. It's up the street about a mile from the fair. They have a full out party there with refreshment, free make & takes, door prizes & sales.

Really fun! Even if you can't go to the fair.

My neighbor attended last year & said it was great....so now to figure out my "fun money budget" because it's about a 4hour drive and I will have to stay over night....if it were in the summer months, I would just drive the motorhome or tow my trailer & camp near by...but since it is in Feb. I will have to do the Hotel stay. But I am still going to figure it out.
Right now I am "hi-liteing" the sessions I would like to take...
If I can swing it & attend, count me in to meet up with those of you who attend & for sure to go over to Pacific Fabrics....
Sounds like lots of farmgirl fun!

I know what you mean, Grace. I just went ahead and paid for my classes and figured I'd be forced to find a room and make it work that way. Sometimes you just have to make room for a bit of fun in the budget especially during these long winter months. It's therapy and much cheaper and more fun than real therapy. Ha.

Ohhhh I want to go.....I here it is the best sewing expo. I hope you all have a great time! Spend a little extra money and share a room with each other! I don’t think it will be cancelled because of a little rain.
Have fun ladies!!

Teri, I'll be driving from Ellensburg.

I think this is a more the merrier kind of thing...everyone is welcome...but you've got to sign up to get in! Think it's sewingexpo.com or go through WSU's website.

Do you have to sign up just to go to the expo or just to get into certain seminars? I have always gone in the past without signing up - just pay at the gate, but I haven't done any classes except free classes which were open til the room was full. I need to check on this, because I plan to go but I haven't signed up.

hey Sherri,
go to www.sewexpo.com & they will have all the info.
You donot need to register unless you want to take some specific classes,,,but they have tons of what I call open seating classes through out the day...free & last about 30min....If you buy your tickets on line it will save you a dollae per day or you can just buy them at the gate for $10pr/day.
The classes run anywhere from $4 to $25 not inlucing supplies.
Go on line & have them send you a catalog...
But the best part is all the vendors there & all the little freebies that they hand out.
Hugz,
