I thought this was fun, I found it before while browsing around online....my favorite is cara and mia...
The following is a list of names that would be linguistically logical for twins. This is not a list of names that sound alike (such as Ann and Andy), but a list of names that are connected through other properties.

Aidan and Nadia
Aidan is Nadia in reverse.

Amy and May
The names are anagrams of each other.

Cara and Mia
In Italian Cara means "beloved" and Mia means "my." Together they mean "my beloved," as the phrase caramia.

Chandra and Selene
Chandra means "moon" in Sanskrit and Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon.

Columba and Jemima
Both names mean "dove," but Columba is Latin and Jemima is Hebrew.

Daphne and Laura
Both names mean "laurel," but Daphne is Greek and Laura is Latin.

Deborah and Melissa
Both names mean "bee," but Deborah is Hebrew and Melissa is Greek.

Dorcas and Tabitha
Both names mean "gazelle," but Dorcas is Greek and Tabitha is Hebrew. In the New Testament the names refer to the same person (Acts 9:36).

Dorothy and Theodora
Both names are formed from the Greek elements doros "gift" and theos "God," but the elements are in different order.

Elijah and Joel
The Hebrews had two name elements meaning "God." These names contain both elements, but in different order.

Erica and Heather
Erica means "heather" in Latin.

Eve and Zoe
Both mean "life," but Eve is Hebrew and Zoe is Greek.

Ezra and Ophelia
Both mean "help," but Ezra is Hebrew and Ophelia is Greek.

Ione and Violet
Ione means "violet" in Greek.

Ira and Ria
The names are anagrams of each other.

Irene and Salome
Both names mean "peace," but Irene is Greek and Salome is Hebrew.

Johan and Jonah
The names are anagrams of each other.

Jonathan and Matthew
Both names are formed from the Hebrew elements yehu "the Lord" and matis "gift," but the elements are in different order.

Lucius and Uri
Both names mean "light," but Lucius is Latin and Uri is Hebrew.

Mary and Myra
The names are anagrams of each other.

Melanie and Phoebe
Both names are Greek, but Melanie means "dark" and Phoebe means "light."

Reva and Vera
The names are anagrams of each other

Oh yes and I wanted to add that I finished my apron and I coffee stained it to give my a girl a 'well' worn look, she's tellin me she has an old heart jus' like mine. Her apron tells that friends are very important to her as well. I will try to post some pictures. She is humming this song to me.
I saw a tree by the river side
growing tall and stong
I've got roots growing down to the waters
I've got leaves growing up to the sunshine
and the fruit that I bear is a sign of life in me.

Theresa

LOVE the 'love the song your dolly sings'story'! (ha! as a child .. i always said that if i ever 'came back' to earth .. i wanted to come back as a tree! i LOVE trees .. they are all so unique ... like we humans ... and yet all interconnected ... like we humans.

Yes, I love Trees! They can be so magnifecent(sp?). They come from a tiny seed. My little dollie was a tiny seed planted by you Frannie.
Her name is going to be Willow Bea. Can't wait to unvail her. She is stressing about her hair. (which is so typical, considering she's my dollie)But for now her apron is her done.

The song in my post is a treasured song of mine from the seventies by a singer/songwriter named "Eve" pronounced "E V" Anyway, I always loved this song as a child, and as I was making Willow Bea's apron it was there, she was singing.

My Name Theresa , well my parents just simply called me 'Tree' still do. Well of course unless I was in trouble. My Mom had a plaque in my room when I was little with the meaning of my name on it. Which was "harvester" . There was a little picture of a child gardening. Now I wonder how much those two things played into my love of gardening and trees.

Agnes
Addie
Antoinette
Cecilia
Clover
Ethel
Elsa
Effie
Gretchen
Hazel
Harriet
Iris
Iola
Josephine
Lulu
Lottie
Lolly
Mary Margaret
Millie

Debbie, I love the idea of all flower names for a special group of girls like Poppy, Pansy, Petunia, anyway that could gone on forever. I definitely have caught dolly fever.

Rhonda, I had an Aunt named Beaulah Mae but she went by Beau. I believe that will make an excellent Dolly name.

Theresa,

I think my first name will be Emily Grace and then I'll go with flower & herb names for awhile. I plan on creating many dollies. I think this will be a really enjoyable craft and I like how Frannie shows us how we can make each doll be totally her own person.

Well I am hooked. Today I made Emma a little sister. It's funny, I didn't try to cut her smaller or anything and she ended up being smaller than Emma. A perfect little sister! Her name is Caroline. I will post a picture as soon as I transfer it.

She is darling Nicole, she does look like a little sister, you can just tell.

Debbie,
I Love the name Emily Grace. It is amazing how the dolls have life. It's truly magical. I have a feeling Willow Bea won't be my last little one.

theresa .. ADORABLE .. and wonderfully primitive 'tree' apron. love it!!
ivy .. love the dolly names .. i've added them all to my list!
annie .. i love yours too .. actually already have all those on my list (great minds travel the same track!)
nicolle .. another darling dolly .. LOVE the hair ribbons!
sue ... jump right in and start a-sewin' .. with all our 'chores' i doubt that we will all 'keep pace' .. but i'm hoping everyone will 'report' their 'dolly journey' as they make her! want to hear WHY a certain fabric was chosen .. what inspired your dolly's face and hair? all the stories!
paula .. we're BACK .. that order will be sent your way TODAY!

p.s. we had a grande time in nashville .. hank spent HOURS at the sports store (REI) .. ha! and he asks me .. why WOMEN take so long to shop in a store!
antiquing was a BUST though! SO VERY EXPENSIVE .. and 'foo-foo' antiques! i undertand the area we were in (Brentwood area) was THE most expensive area in Tennessee to live .. and i'm here to tell you .. i saw dozens and dozens of homes that were big and oppulent as any HUGE country club i've ever seen! lordy! who dusts those homes?????

sewed on some dollies and 'bunny eggs' while we were travelling .. will post their pics soon!

hope everyone's patterns are arrive and you've got those needles clicking! xo
