is it that you get this one maverick hair that grows like a weed on your chin? I'm an esthetician and I've plucked it, waxed it, shaved it and just when I think it's gone.... its about an inch longer! I was at the store this morning and caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror. I just about spit up! That outlaw chin hair was so long it curled! Mother Nature.... this is NOT funny!

Oh my gosh! I am dying of laughter over here! I can totally see this!
I get weird hairs too...luckily they are currently growing in with my normal hair but every once and a while when I am massaging my scalp- I will find one that is about 3x thicker than a whisker! Sometimes it looks like about 20 hairs banded together to form their own little hair commune- and sometimes it just looks like some freaky whisker!

Alee, soon they will migrate south. It's one of the joys of aging that keeps us humble and insisting on better lighting in our bathrooms. I never see them while I'm preparing to go out, but take a look in my truck mirror while I'm driving and there they are! Do I turn around and go home and fix up? Oh heck no...just forge ahead and let it all hang out.
And yet I swear my hair on my head is getting thinner...and though it isn't funny, if you don't laugh about it, I might get whiney and we can't have that!
I love the comments girls...made my giggle today.

I love the barrette idea! Oh, I could go get those cute ones that I used to put in dd's hair when she was little. Plastic with the animals molded in them? Jami! yes! What IS it about the rearview mirror? My goodness you can see EVERYTHING in that thing!
Cheryl, the machete' might be in order.
Oh I plucked him out good, so well in fact, he brought me to my knees and tears in my eyes..... oh the agony of a chin hair!!

You guys are TOO funny! At least we can laugh about this horrible little thing that's happening to us. I have them, too. And they do seem to pop up when least expected, don't they? I carry the tweezers with me, too. In fact, while in Col. driving home, there was really good light coming in and i got lots of those things pulled! And driving, too. It's amazing what we women can do behind the wheel.
My 91 year old friend has the longest chin hair you can imagine. I know she doesn't see it. I want to pull it out so bad it hurts. Thank goodness she's gone for two months. Maybe her daughter will see it and it'll be gone when she gets back.
Happy tweezin', ya'll! Kris |

No matter how carefully I pluck in the mornings, when I'm out and look in a mirror I always find some I've missed. I always carry my tweezers with me too.
