Jumping in on the conversation a little late here. I just finished my final paper for this semesters' class. Tomorrow morning it gets e-mail to the instructor.
My BS is in Agricultural Economics from the University of Kentucky and I am working on an MA in Organizational Communications through Murray State University. It's tough going back to school when you have children, but what an example you can set for your children by studying and doing your homework right along with them.

Lol! Alee, I totally agree with you! I am looking forward to some "guilt free craft time" once finals are over! I have been crocheting, but every time I do it I think about all the studying I need to do... My last final is tomorrow morning! At 8:30 am!!! Good luck on your remaining classes!!

About ready to take one of 3 remaining reading quizes for History. Then the final will be a piece of cake (open book, all questions from the previous tests, and tests available with correct answers marked...if anyone doesn't get 100% they are really unintelligent)

Hey Gals!
Hows it going?
In about 15 minutes, Doug will be home and I will do my Math final with him sitting next to me tutoring. It is open book- open note. So I figure that he can help too! I called my math teacher today when one of the review problems wasn't making sense and that really helped. I am looking forward to being done with math, though I will probably be going back and re-doing some of the things that I missed when I had some migraines back in October.
Then after math is done for the night, I have about half a chapter of history left to read, a test to take, then another chapter to read and another test. After that- the super easy final.
Then Tomorrow after I finish up my history reading/quizes/final (because I don't think I will get that all done tonight) I have a "Reading Analysis" to do for History as well.
Then either late Thursday or early Friday, I have a psychology exam again (reading two whole chapters in 4 days. Yikes! But then that class will also be done! Friday is Final Finals day for me. I am really looking forward to this weekend!
My mom and Sisters are coming up Friday evening and we are going to go shopping on Saturday for Christmas Presents. I am hoping I can convince them to go to Downtown Billings, instead of up at the Mall [xp]
I hope you all are making good headway with your finals as well.
Are we all registered for next semester? How many credits? I am taking 16 and they are all heavy classes so I am going to work to get the house all neat and tidy before the semester starts!

Got my math final done! Now all that is absolutely required for that class is done! There are a few little things that I might try to do to boost my grade- but if I don't get around to them, they won't hurt me! Yay!!!

Good job Alee!!! It feels so good to be done with tests. I finished my last final today in Psych and I feel soooo good! I feel free! I am now on my winter break and it is great! Next quarter starts on January 5, so we have a long break. I am registered for 18 credits next quarter-something I have never done. I usually max my credits at 15. All of the classes are really intense too. I am taking Psychology of Human Development, Physiology, Modern Latin American Literature (in Spanish), and Hispanic Culture Studies (in Spanish). Wow! It will be a tough quarter!

Hi Chelsey!
That is great! I just got done with another reading test! One more chapter to go! I should get that done tomorrow and then my Psychology chapter test! Then I am free to! I am really excited! Very Highly motivated!
I am taking all of my classes online next semester!
I have Accounting 233, Microeconomics, Finite Math, Ethics and Business Law! It is going to be a hefty semester for me as well, but I am hoping to be able to forge a head in a few classes. I have already passed Accounting 233 with a B, but it was a few years ago and I had forgotten most of it. So I am re-taking it just for my personal benefit since that is my Major! I can't wait to see how much more I need to get my degree. I know I need some upper-level Accounting and such, but it is getting closer!!!

I did my extra work in Math, and emailed the professor to double check to see if I need to do anything else. I finished all my work in History except a quick little essay that I am going to do tomorrow. So my final things are to read and test in Psychology and to write a short little essay for history. I am very excited! And tomorrow night my family will be in town and we get to go to the movies for a birthday treat!!

I rec'd a note from my instructor today and I passed my class!! I did not realize that it was a P/F class when I signed up...I'm glad I did not know that otherwise I probably would have been really lax on completing my assignments and such. Next semester starts Jan 15....so I'm planning some R&R for now.
Sounds like everyone else has finished their finals and can enjoy the holidays.

Schools over, grades are out. I did really well (all A's) Husband out of town. youngest daughter at a sleepover and other daughter is working. This is the first time I've really relaxed in months. I got a good book (Scarpetta) and am enjoying myself. I'm not used to the luxury of not having to do something for school. It feels great. Put clean linens on my bed, turned the electric blanket up to 9 and I am in farmgirl heaven!!! How are you enjoying your school free weekend? |

Hi Everyone,
I am so glad this thread was started. I too just finished my finals this last week. It's nice to know that there are other women out there doing the same thing.
Here's my Story
Major: Biology Working toward applying to Vet School Graduation: 2011
I start out every quarter excited and full of energy and by the end I am so ready for it to end. I just finished my first Chem class, it was great but challenging. I needed a foreign language so I chose ASL and it has been a great experience. Oh yeah I am married with 4 kids. I just quit my job because the stress was killing me. So I have been applying for scholarships like crazy for next year.
My special treat to myself this weekend was to pull out my table loom and start on a really cool scarf.
Have a great break!

Hi Heidi!
I know what you mean! I start out the semester with all sorts of lists, calenders, study schedules. I made it through this semester successfully though and it feels SOOO amazing to succeed at something that can be so difficult for me.
I think knowing there are other farmgirls that are kindof "looking over my shoulder" will help me stay on task.
I have just one child, but I too came to realize that a job and college was way too much stress to handle- even when I didn't have a child. Now with Nora it is just not feasible at all.
But we can do it! And the college education in the long run is going to really help our family!

I have attended the following schools:
University of Central Oklahoma University of Missouri-KC Jefferson County Community College
No degree yet! I am a Junior and will probably go back in a couple of years when the youngest is in kindergarten. I have no idea what my major will be. Probably whatever I can finish the fastest.
SAHM mom to four great boys.

WOOO HOO!
Grades are in! I passed EVERYTHING!!! Yay! In fact I got B's and a B+! I am very pleased because this was a hard semester for me. I had to relearn a lot of study skills and really focus and stick with it. Next semester I want to see at least one A on the report though! But it is a nice change from previous semesters where I hadn't done my best.
