I am starting to accumulate a LOT of fleece scraps left over from my little jackets. Anyone have any good ideas of a simple craft I can make out of them? I made some fleece hats with wedge shaped gores and a band around the bottom, but there must be a lot more ideas than that! Let's see what resourceful farmgirls can throw out there!
Good idea! I"ve also been toying around with the idea of bean bags - not sure what I'll use inside them though. After working for Head Start so long, I just can't bring myself to use any food products in a toy, so rice and beans are out. Any thoughts on that?
I've made several kid's quilts ,like Diana said, in patchwork and backed them with a solid piece of polar fleece. Another kid's blanket can be made from cutting shapes from the fleece pieces and appliqueing them onto a solid piece of fleece, stuffing the appliques with a bit of fiberfill so they puff out. Patchwork scarves with matching hats. Pet beds from patchwork. pet blankets from patchwork.
I love to applique with the fleece scraps. And they make up fun little dolls. They feel so soft and cuddly to hold. YOu could hem them and kake the fleece headbands. They make great sc arves. I dont hem my scarves --i zig zag around the edges and it works great .
