I have had this idea rattling around in my head for couple of days.. I just started on it. It is a daughter of the goddess dancing in the return of the sun. It is FAR from finished and has to all be embellished. It will be couple of feet tall and i will stuff it and have to find something for the base yet. Hopefully i will have it finished the first of week . Her skirt and veil are a vintage collar.

got it stuffed and on a base . I think i have some silver snowflake sequins somewhere in my stash .The tree topper will be a sun instead of a star. Then i will put all my goddess dolls around the tree for display. Now the hard part--all the beading .

WOW!!! Are you ever talented! I'm embarassed.....I cleaned up my house from my daughter's visit and ironed...oh and I took a 3 mile hike with the dog this afternoon becuase it was WAY TO BEAUTIFUL here to stay inside! I had all the windows open and it was gorgeous in the woods! I have to make 10 ornaments for a Christmas ornament/cookie exchange and I haven't a clue! You are SO creative! I always have to have a picture and detailed instructions....I am SO anal! I really admire creative people and you are definitely one of them! It is GORGEOUS!

sandra --the 3 mile hike sounds so awesome !! I am getting a dog come spring to protect my garden from the coons and to have a companion to walk with. you will be able to whip those ornaments right out i bet !!!! I got blue fringe around the oval shape and a greyish blue novelty yarn garland crocheted up and tacked to the tree.I wont be able to sew again till sunday cause of my work schedule.:( I found my silver snowflake sequins and I am going to stitch them to the garland next. :) The dark blue snowy fabric symbolizes night and the silvery grey snowy fabric --the lightening color of a snowy day . She is "dancing the sun back " I want to make a sun for top of tree and maybe embroider some tiny suns on her skirt or veil--haven't decided. The purple / white tye dyed tree skirt --symbolizes healing energy .

That is super great. I have a small vintage dress form that I am going to decorate for Winter solstice. I love your dancing Lady. Now I am wondering how to decorate her. Maybe it's not a good idea after all. MB

I LOVE the dress form !! She will be so pretty all decorated up !! I wish i had one of those gold or brass wire work ornament "thingees" you display ornaments on . Your dress form reminds me of them. This last xmas i donated boxes and boxes of xmas decorations to a clothing bank here. It was stuff I had for 30 or more years and i was tired of it taking up space. I never used it so i gave it all a new home :) Someone is now enjoying them and that makes me happy.
