Come on, I know you are out there farmgirls.....and you know exactly which wine to serve with which foods... So tell me what wine are you serving with your turkey dinner menus.

I can tell you what we served last year, but I'd need to know a bit about your menu...this year, I'm expecting our first child, and someone ELSE is doing the cooking at their home (and there will be box wine to fuel the masses--but I won't be sharing in---blech--but also because of the wee one!)

I'd be glad to offer up some suggestions...

Glad to know you had a lovely dinner, with nice accompaniment. Good wine, good company!!! And, it's also nice that noone got up on the table, or tried to ride a dog like a mechanical bull :) Ahhh...Thanksgiving memories :)!!!!

Hope you had a little "kip" for me (as my daddy would say)....

Hey, sorry I didnt see this before. While I am not an expert, I live here in the heart of washington Wine Country and many of the local growers and wine makers are friends. I like whites with chicken and turkey. I like Viognier, but often it is to sweet for some.. so then my next choice would be a Chardonnay... Snoqualmie Vineyard has one that is made with Organically grown grapes and isnt as "dry" as some chards can be. SO for me White wines for fish and fowl and red's for beef and bison..........Sounds like you did just fine without any help! Great Job!

Yes we managed to enjoy the feast with several choices. I am especially fond of Pinot gregio and Shiraz Merlot and a Cab. while in Arizona I belonged to a wine club through Santa Barbara Winery My SIL got me started. I received 4 bottles a month. I would like to start another one. But Since I gave up my spot on the list there ( when we moved) I will need to start over with perhaps a PNW Winery. I think PNW has some exquisite wine choices.
