angie, beautiful work....i got to looking at mine again and found another mistake 10 rows back...took it out and have started from there again...have decided that I need a block of time to work on it..that way i get into the rhythm of it and don't make as many mistakes to take out..love the pattern though! will definetly make more than one with it. want to donate it to "threads of love". was head of a chapter and had to give it up due to health but another lovely lady has taken it over and needs some help with it. she has 3 daughter all who want to learn how to crochet so when we can get together , i will be spending some time with them and showing them how to crochet. cannot wait....

Janie, that sounds like so much fun! The lady who taught me to crochet made me promise that I would teach at least one other person. Not long after she passed away, I had the privilege of leading a crocheting mini-workshop for our Girl Scout council. I hope I made her proud - especially since DD (who was only 7 at the time) was helping me teach!

I'll be teaching crochet to a small Keepers at Home group (girls 4 - 9) next month, a bit nervous about that! Just wanted to say Thank You! to all who help pass along the art.

I am about halfway through a second one for another of my husband's co-workers. She is due this month, so I really have to get going! This one is going to be in pale green.

I agree, with this it really helped to get in the rhythm so to speak. I can tell you that I have found an error but I figure that will make her unique right!
When I was a little girl growing up in England, we would go and visit my paternal grand-mother once a year and spend a couple of weeks with her. She did all kinds of hand-work and each visit I would learn something new and go home with a new creation. This is more than 30 years ago but I still remember Grandma teaching me her skills.

When you do any type of craft, it seems, you never forget the person who took the time to share their talent and passion and to teach you.
