Hey girls! I was wondering if anyone knows how to kill out poison ivy? I have a small wooded area near my barn that I want to turn into a woodland garden, but it is overrun with poison ivy in the warmer months. So I was hoping to get the area cleaned out this fall and winter to get ready for spring. I'm severely allergic to poison ivy(had it 3 times this past spring & summer!) and want it gone!! Any old tricks would be very appreciated. Thanks, Tammy

When we bought our house 6 years ago, the very neglected yard was full of poison ivy. My husband very carefully removed it by the roots and sprayed it during the growing season too. It took almost two years, but he got rid of it all! Remember, poison ivy never goes dormant! Good luck on getting rid of this very annoying & dangerous ivy!

Great article Alee!

Oh my goodness!! I don't know if I have the patience to wait that long! I'm gonna try though or maybe on better thought, I'll have my husband try since he can role in it and never get so much as a bump! Thanks for the advice, I appreciate any I can get.
