This past summer when my grandson dug my potatoes, he did a really poor job. He left a lot of them in the ground. Of course they sprouted but I didn't think they had made any potatoes because the plants never bloomed. While working out getting my beds ready for spring, I discovered lots and lots of potatoes and nice size too! I dug a total of about 10 pounds of potatoes, enough to keep us in potatoes another 2 or 3 weeks. That is what I call free food!

Sounds like a great bumper crop to me. Now how do you plan to make all those potatoes?

Enjoy the harvest, I tried to get my potatoes in the ground today, but I got sidetracked once again....there's always tomorrow...
I love cooking mine on the griddle with onions and garlic, or mashed with anything, anytime, oh I love potatoes! Mashed potatoes freeze really well if you want to save them for Thanksgiving dinner!
