Several farmgirls on the Apron thread have been enduring bathroom remodeling jobs for a long and painful time-
so as a glimmer of hope I told 'em I'd post some pictures of our farmhouse bathroom!
It was a whirlwind job- took about 3-5 days- I can't remember now.
We started in a cabin with NO bathroom facilities-20 yrs ago- so waiting to have this nice room was well worth it!
TAKE heart FARMGIRLS- it worth the wait!!!

So here is the bathroom tour!!!

Blessings,

Here's the entry-

As you enter there is a privacy wall with and old wooden window built into it for light on the opposite side.

Next a step or two inside you'll notice another window- well it's a faux window!
There is no real window in this bathroom, and I have a bit of claustraphobia so hubby put two "feel like outside"windows in for me.
The one on the wall actually has a indirect light in it with a scenic picture of a distant country garden- kinda distorted by frosted glass so you cant tell it's not really outside. How smart is that!!?

ANd that's a horse shoe towel rack beside the sink- which ya can't see just yet!

Standing at the pricacy wall this is the shower area on the left, and my old medical cabinet (for towels). The ceiling walls and floor are all wood pieced from different kinds of wood and white beadboard in a few areas for protection and crispness!

And finally, standing at the wall by the shower this is the sink,at the entrance and potty,of course. The cabinet next to the potty is perfectly fitted for storing ALL the toilet tissue and other cleaning items for the toilet.
Ingeniusly the tissue roll sits on an upright rod for easy access.

Thanks all of you! He is an artist with wood- he salvaged a great deal of the wood for this but we did buy the planks for the ceiling and upper wall.
The old windows are my favorite for sure. I left the cracked blue and pink layers on one of them and just varnished over it.

Hang in there Bonne and Kathie- bathroom redo's are something else!
