Send me your address asap, this is fun! I only need one! If there are others that would like to participate, add your names here. When we've accumulated some quilts we could have a show and tell...........

This is how it works..... I will send someone two 8" squares with instructions. You send two 8" squares to four friends and to the person on top of the list. Their instructions are to do the same. In the end you will receive 72 squares from 36 different people. It only works as long as people follow through.

Anyway, it will be fun to try, and all it costs is postage stamps, and 10 8" squares of fabric!

Jo, if you've not seen Karin's quilts, you're in for a real treat. She's very artistic and extremely talented.

I'll bite - do they have to be purple? If not, do they all have to be the same color?

Ok Jo I am confused about how this works. I am trying to make sense of this based on your initial post.

Sorry guys, worked like crazy the last three days....... !

I received two 8 " squares of purple fabric from a co-worker, her instructions were on a printed piece of paper. It goes as following.......

Send two 8 " squares of purple fabric to the person at the top of the list and then cross that person out. Choose four people and send to each person two 8" squares and these instructions. Put your name on the bottom of the list. It is basically a chain letter for a 72 patch quilt.

The beauty of it is that it will travel all over the country, it can be shared with people here as well as your friends and family! I've sent Ann hers and you can contact Ann if you want to join in (Soapmommy!)
What we can do here is that when Ann receives hers if she wants to ask you to join in you can do so and so on......... It doesn't require anything except a small amount of fabric and postage.

Sorry I haven't explained this well! I think this should be open to people here as well as friends and family because it makes it more interesting!

Jo, I guess I will send 2 back your way and 2 to Karin. Like Beverley, I'm the only quilter in my group of friends (I'm the only anything-crafty in my circle of friends!). I promised I would participate, so I'll send 2 back to you, 2 to Karin, and 2 to the people on the list that I'm sure is coming my way. I think we can still work it.
