I am looking for patterns for these cute little (extra little) sweaters. You can add them to cards or whatever.
Again been looking on the net, but nope, couldn't find it.
There ought to be little dresses too??
Any help??

These are so cute and what a great idea to add them to cards.
I wish I had a pattern for you. If you are familiar with knitting I would reccommend trying to count the stiches in the rows and just play around with it from there. I also think you could easily make the little knitting needles from a dowl that has been cut to size and sharpened on the end.

Lol Christina. You know as soon as I posted this I could make the picture appear bigger, yay.
I COULD count the stitches and it looks SO simple!! The small needles are tooth-picks!!

I have seen them yesterday eve. I was at a church friends house and she showed them to me, with the tooth picks as knitting needles, so sweet!
The one I saw was attached to cards and too pretty, really!
I will try to make them. Am now knitting a Pumpkin Dishcloth for a friend AND one to add to my BLOG STORE!

After that i will make a few of those little sweaters and see what to do with them. I HAVE an idea, but have to play with it, lol

Dutchy- I have 2 books on knitting for greeting cards and amazingly enough they were first published in the Netherlands!

They're called Knit It Greeting Cards by Margriet Kors and Gina Kors-Lambers and New Knit it Greeting cards by Margriet Kors. They are from Forte Publishers.

LOL!! Now that is funny, haha!!
Maybe I can find them somewhere, library maybe,
will see.

HAHA still think it is funny!! The ladies are quite well known here, they have published many craft books. Also garden crafts and books about making lined baskets, etc. The lining of the baskets, not the baskets itself. Real pretty!!
And if I am correct, they are a mother/daughter team.

I have seen these on cards and they really tiny. I would say start with a size one needle and cast on a few stitches and see how that looks compared to the ones already made and then after a few rows cast on for one side and then when are finished with that row on the next row cast on the same amount for the sleeve as you did the first time and knit a few more rows for the top off the sweater. Then slip them to the toothpicks for putting on the cards. They are really cute and I have always thought of trying to make one but just never have. Maybe I will have to give it a try. If you get the number of stitches figured out let me know!!!! Beverley

Hi Marian.. I know you are already working on these.. but I found this site that has 12 sweater patterns. So cute. Too bad I don't know how to knit myself. I tried.. but its like I have two left hands! I crochet though so I at least can make some things. Let us know how they turn out!

another idea for mini-knits would be christmas tree ordaments!

Glad you liked them. They are cute. Corrine is right the mini trees are a good idea too. I have seen some for mini mittens too, but I think those were crochet. On the BHG site. Couldnt get it to pull up correctly today though. Have fun making them. Hard to believe they actually use tooth picks. Wow! That's talent.

Hey gals, those look like Barbie doll size. I have made some clothes from Barbie patterns and I still have a little sweater...didn't think about hanging it on a tree until now! :-) They should be easy to find. I didn't use toothpicks but a small needle and tight stitches and baby yarn. Those Xmas ornament sweaters are adorable.!!

Thanks for the Berroco link. Those are so Cute! I think they would be great way to use up odds and ends of sock yarns too $$$ to just toss.

also what about a stocking type hat or hat with a brim that is tiny. I have made them and easier than a sweater. You could also make a tiny scarf with fringe. Just ideas...maybe I'll do some.
