The apron sounds G-R-E-A-T. I cannot wait to see it! Please add my name to the drawing!
Plowing through, which life problem should I choose; Hmm. Maybe right now I have a broken foot with a cast to the knee and am still trying to keep up with eveything that I usually do, oh soo hard and S-L-O-W.

I also want to be included in drawing!
For me, plowing through a craniotomy (brain surgery) when my youngest was little was a difficult time. But with God's blessings, we made it through that scary time. We plowed through it all through the years. |

Come "Plow Thru" with some of us in my post Farmgirl Philanthropy under Stitching and Crafting Room. One of the best ways I have seen in life to plow thru our own struggles is to help those who are even less fortunate.

I think plowin' through also means putting your head down and going to work. I wish there wasn't such a bias against manual labor in our culture. I work hard, every day, and I really enjoy it. My job is not as labor intensive as it used to be but it is pretty physical. There is a real feeling of peace and satisfaction that comes from finishing a physical job. When I look at the weeded garden or the stripped wallpaper or the 200 pound wheel of cheese I cut, I know I did something to be proud of. Amy Grace

To me, plowin thru is getting up every morning even though you know you are going to face a leaky roof, a bad attorney, less than pleasant truck drivers (no offense to the nice truck drivers that I have met over the last 3 years, but I have dealt with some that are less than stellar), wondering wether or not your son is going to be sent home from school once again due to a melt down and most of all knowing you are probably going to spend this Christmas in a camper because your house has to be decontaminated due to mold from the leaky roof and slow attorneys. AND yet you get up, put on the uniform and go out hoping that you may have just saved someone's life because you put that next truck or driver out of service for equipment or log book violations. Thru it all you are wearing a smile. That's what plowin' thru means to me.
Thanks Lora #358

Plowin Thru means meeting people, and really accepting them, the good and the not-so-good parts. embracing them, and allowing yourself to be a friend.

Plowing thru... Show up like a grown up and do what is needed what is right in all areas of life. Help those you can. Be nice to everyone all the time. Forgive and forget move on. Love your family even when it is tough. As they are the ones who can hurt the most. Take time for YOU look what is around you and enjoy in the wonder of it. Be happy with what you have. Not mad at what you don't have. Look at the good side of everything sometimes its tough but it is always there. Just be Happy.

Please put me in the drawing too.
"Plowing thru" for me meant buying a small house by myself at the age of 44. Even though my two children are grown up, I wanted a permanent home that they could someday bring their children to see Grandma. |

"Plowin' thru" means rolling up my sleeves, & roto tillering my 20 x30 garden by myself because hubbies back was out. And you know what, at the end of the day it was a great satisfaction to wipe the dirt from my brow and say, " I did it!" This former city girl truly plowed/tilled her own garden. I loved having a dirt manicure to prove it too! hugz & please do add me to the jar to which little miss stella will be placing her sweet little hands in to fetch out a lucky name for the apron kit drawing. >^..^<

Put my name in please.. plowing thru for me was when I was the domestic violence services coordinator in Arizona where I worked 5 years. Finally retired last april. I spent many hours plowing throuh the mind set of many women who were abused by their partners and had to make the choice to leave or take the chance of staying in the bad relationship and possibly dying. Many souls thoguht it was their fault that the husbands, boyfriends beat them.. After many sessions some really believed they were victims and were taking their first steps to freedom and may God bless each one..

Plowin thru for me was learning to grow up in a dysfunctional family and surviving. I out of 4 siblings came out with my mind in tack. I helped two of my best friends turn their fathers in for child abuse. I went to school one day and sat down with my friend only to have her tell me the whole terrible exper. and get up and go right to the guidance counselor for help. That has been my whole life. Someone coming to me for help. Finally, it hit a little to close to home. But, I plowed thru again and survived that. Always for me with the help of God, with lots of prayer.

Plowing thru is simply putting your shoulder to the wheel and getting done whatever it is that's before you. It's putting self aside and doing for those we love. It's remebering all those who have done just that for us. Sharon

Plowing through means keeping the faith and just putting one foot-in-front-of-the-other; especially when times get tough. Hubby was in the hospital 51 days came home on monday-11/3, for 5 days, and is back in the hospital. It's not kidney related, something new-just a minor-set (regardless) because we're plowing through!
Be well and thank you for this opportunity! Bonnie Farmgirl Sister #333 |

Plowing Through... To never give up and keep pushing on against all odds. That single mindeness that all woman have. That very moment when you have been told one more push about 200 times and you know that this time it is the last one.

Oh please pick me! Farmgirl plowing thru is when I get up everyday and keep on keeping on. School, work, kids, husband, animals, bills, the list goes on and on. But I still manage to muster up enough strength to make do with very little and give thanks for everything I've got.

I would like to be included in the drawing! I recently lost my job, it was devastating and a huge impact on our income. I remember being a bit shocked and going to my car in sort of a fog after being told that I was being "let go". Driving home I kept thinking about what I needed to do and how I was going to tell my husband. Long story short I pulled up my boots and put a smile on my face and plowed thru instead of constantly thinking about our loss. I started thinking about how to fix it. Conservation, cutting back, saving, making do, cooking more, etc. The best part of all it worked and here I am today with a savings and such a great peace of mind. It's really true that when one door closes another door opens. Thanks.

I think farmgirl plowing thru means that all of us women that are farmgirls or farmgirls at heart know how to get back up after being knocked down. We just wipe the dirt off our bee-hinds and keep on going!

I have to plow thru just about everyday! A mom's work is never done and no one else can do it like her! I put my kid's before me everyday because I know that while they are young that is what they need. And that's not always easy for me to do! Especially when it's been a long day and all I want to do is go home and pull the covers over my head. But there's still homework, practices, clubs, dinner, baths and bedtime stories to share. So my little problems have to wait till after bedtime!

To plow thru for me means to keep going when everything else seems to go against you.
I've had this sort of week. I've been plowing thru.

Plowin' through for me reminds me of the year that I had asked my husband to till my garden for me so I could get it planted. I was bustin at the seams, as always, to get my hands into the dirt! Well, I waited a couple weeks and still no rototiller entered my plot...so, in a huff one day I grabbed a shovel, climbed the hill to my garden, and set to "tilling" the whole thing by hand. It took me a couple of days but I LOVED the time in the sun and the work of it so much that there has not been a rototiller in my garden since! Now, I read all these "no till" articles and realize that I've been doing the best thing for my garden that I possibly could, and what's more...I've fallen in love with MY dirt, too!
So...enter this Plowin' Through farmgirl's name into the hat, pretty please!
