Oh! can I join too? This would be my first swap. I would like to do three sets. How exciting, I've never done anything like this before! I can't wait to see what comes in the mail! :)

Take care, Melissa.

We're going to our daughter's house for Christmas this year. No huge plans to do anything out of the ordinary. Just a nice relaxing time with the grandkids!

I am going to my sisters. I live in the middle-south of the state and she is in the upper-north part. We switch off each year. Nothing fancy either. But its great just getting together!
It will be me my husband and our daughter. next youngest sister and her husband and then the baby of the family and her husband.

Oh and those darn dogs. The youngest has two boxers. Its her home we are going to. They think they are babies and love to just sit on you. But in reality they are cows! And they slobber and grunt. And have dog breath. And the Uncontrollable urge to lick your face all the time. But they are her babies. And they realy are comical at times. They are tall enough to rest there heads on the dinner table and beg as if they are starving. Three years ago one almost ran off with the ham. Nothing a quick rinse of hot water wont cure.

Linda, You liked my little whip cracking? I know we all have lots going on now. I was just trying to keep our topic on the first page. Its not a seasonal swap which is good. And we still have room for more to join if they want. But the sooner we all get our blocks done, the sooner I can swap them out and we can all get to sewing! I think this will make a real nice quilt top. Something you can keep our all year round.

I might be taking the train into the city (NY) tomorrow to see the tree at Rockefeller Center . That should be fun.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Melissa,
I received your charms yesterday! Thank you! I love the little heart. It is hanging on my tree.

I do want to commend all of those that have sent me their charms already. They all look perfectly cut. Perfectly washed and ironed. All are in sandwich bags. These three things are very important. It makes them ready to sew right off the bat. (Oh a bat...humm...maybe I can start throwing that... OH, but with my luck I will hit myself in the head. Better stick with the whip)..Where was I...Oh yes, as I was stating, everyone one will be very pleased with the variety I have received so far.

Now, I want you all to imagine.........370 charms....that is what I currently have at my house. All beautiful calico prints.
Think of all the quilt tops that could be made.
To make a 6 foot square throw you would need 100 charms plus a 6 inch boarder going around.

I know I made a limit of 5 sets but......
....if anyone wants to do another 5 sets. That will be ok. (Make sure the fabric is different from what you already sent)
I would simply add your name again.
Just remember, you will get duplicates.

Well, I hope everyone has a nice weekend. I did not get the chance to go into the city last weekend. And I know I cant this weekend either. Oh well.....ta, ta for now.

Bump, Jump, Boing and Hop!!

The holiday is just around the corner. I have a lot of shopping still to do. And as always, work is just as busy as ever. I am putting in long hours so I can take tomorrow and monday off to shop and clean my house.
Happy Holiday (as they say in the corporate world)
And
Merry Christmas (as I say from my heart)

I have received almost all of your charms. If you are unable to fullfill your obligation, please let me know. I truly understand that things happen. Life is not always smooth for everyone. But, it would not be fair to those that have sent in their charms to have to wait more then two extra weeks.
I will be sorting all charms the evening of January 10th and mailing them on January 12th.

I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas. And now on to the New Year................
May it bring each and everyone of you happeness and joy.
