YOUR CHARMS ARE IN THE MAIL!!!

(12/28 update) I will be sorting all charms the evening of January 10th and mailing them on January 12th.

***WE STILL HAVE ROOM FOR MORE SWAPPERS***!
Blocks are not due to me until the 31st of December. Plenty of time if you would like to join. No sewing involved in this swap. NO glue or paint either

Would anyone like to do a charm swap?
The charms would be 6 1/2 inch blocks. 100% pre-wash cotton. (Why pre-wash? Fabrics have a lot of different chemical on them. Some people have allergies. Also, 100% cotton likes to shrink a little. If you can't pre-wash, then press your fabric with a healthy dose of steam before cutting) Fabric is to be of the calico family. Calico is a small flower print. If you are not sure what calico print is, try one of these sites for samples

http://ftp.gotfabric.com/SearchEngineCatalog/calico-flower-print-quilt-fabric---pink.htm.
http://www.gotfabric.com/SearchEngineCatalog/SearchEngineCatalog/calico-rose-print-quilt-fabric---pink.htm

I am sure we all have calico in our stash. For each set you might need less then 1/3 of a yard

Each person would send me 10 each 6 1/2" blocks of the same fabric.
You can send up to 5 different sets.
(50 charms of 5 different fabrics)

Let me know if you would like to swap. We can then pick a mail-by date. (ALL PACKAGES SHOULD BE TO ME ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31)The more that plays, the more sets that can be swapped. The more sets that are swapped, the more varity of charms you will receive.

1)yarnmamma 2 sets
2)beverley 5 set Received 10/30
3)Aunt Jenny 1 set
4)soapmammy60543 3 sets Received 10/30
5)nicie 2 sets Received 1/2
6)Cheryl 2 sets received 11/26
7)StitchinWitch 5 sets Received 10/30
8)Pearlsnjeans 2 sets Received 12/22
9)EagleNest 5 sets Received 1/5
10)khartquilt 5 sets finished 12/11
11)quiltingfarmergirl 4 sets Received 11/26
12)hillbillyheaven 4 sets Received 11/5
13)lucylou 4 sets Received 11/26
14)countryroads 3 5 sets Received 12/11
15)

Put all your sets in one sandwich bag. And please put your name on the bag. Or pin each set together with a sticky or slip of paper with your name.

Please remember to send a self addressed postage paid return envelope. (or at least send a few dollars to cover the return postage. I have plenty of envelopes.)

Hi Please put me on the list.

Quick question - so if I do 1 set it's 10 - 6 1/2" squares, right?

If that is correct put me down for 2 sets.

Kathy I looked through my stash and I'd like to sign up for three (3) sets instead of just 2 if that's ok. Thanks!

Bumping...
I am bumping this to the front so you all can check it out.
This is a very simple swap. All you need to do is cut 6 1/2" fabric blocks.
Simple, simple.
check out this sites on what you can make with your charms:

Hi ladies... This morning's mail brought the January 2009 (boy does that sound weird!) issue of McCall's Quick Quilts. On page 28, there is an adorable charm square quilt (Holly Jolly Holiday) that uses 80 5" charm squares. I think it's a neat inspiration for our 6 1/2" squares. Our quilts would of course be bigger than the one in the magazine, but still a cool idea. There's also another pretty one on page 40 (Winter Night) that would work, too - it's a bunch of Ohio Star blocks. Even though that one is done in all blues, I think it would still look neat if you did it "scrappy."

Just thought I'd share the fun!

Thanks

Ok Beverly, I changed you to 5 sets.
Did you all see? We now have 10 swappers.
Can we get a few more? 15 swappers would be the perfect number!

And will the December 31st be ok with a mail by date?? January 15th at the very latest!?
