Apple crisp is always a big hit(at my restaurant) I have noticed! With or without the crust... especially with berries...lately I have been making apple cranberry crisp for Fall.

I make apple pie and apple crisp. I make my pies and freeze them unbaked for that fresh homemeade apple pie smell and taste in the dead of winter.

I made 6 crisps today , and froze them. I'll have to make my pies another day when I have more time.

The apples were small this year and I feel like I end up composting most of it...the core and peel. Argh! Too much rain ad not enough sun shine, I think.

Wow, I like the idea of making the desserts now and freezing, I've never tried that. I'm having a "mental health day" today to do what I want, and that is to finish up my apples and then do some quilting, I think I'll try this. What kind of dishes do you freeze them in?

Apple pie, baked apple donuts, apple oatmeal cake with Mascarpone maple cream, apple filled acorn squash, applesauce, and any other recipe I can find that calls for apples! I love the smell of apples and cinnamon baking in the oven!

Fried apples, yum! I love this over warm, buttered cornbread.
