Hi everyone, I've not told this much but my mom was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer this past April. She's had a tough time and while we've had some positives with her treatment we've also had some really bad times. Right now it's a bad time again. I just spoke with my dad who told me mom's been admitted to the local hospital after complaining of chest pain about 4AM this morning. After doing several hours worth of tests they found that she no longer has an immune system left related to chemo. This isn't exactly a surprise to me but apparently her white cell count is even lower than I suspected. The chest pain is related to the low cell count. She's been admitted and will be receiving injections of medication to try to raise her counts. She just had a shot for this on Monday past but apparently it did little good if any. Her name is Freda and she could use some hang tough prayers right now. Thank you all my sisters for your prayers. Huggzz Cheryl

Cheryl, I will be lifting your mother up in prayer. I'll be praying this medication will do the job it's supposed to do for her. Also that the Lord will give her strength to get through this time. Also for your famil to have strength to help her. I'll be praying for your dad, too, For extra strength. He'll need it,too.

Thank you so much Annika and Kris. We can use them. Dad gets scared at times too. I spent 2 months this summer there helping and making sure things ran smoothly but I've been back home since mid July. It's times like this I sure wish I lived closer.

Glorious Lord! I thank you for being a healing and comforting God! I lift up Freda to you this morning. Please place your loving arms around her and give her peace. Guide her medical professionals in coming up with her treatment, give them wisdom. You are a holy and loving God and I know you are with this darling woman always, help her to feel you around her-give her peace and comfort her in this painful and stressful time. Be with her husband during this time, help him to feel you supporting him. I praise you for being in this situation and doing you will! As you wish!

Cheryl-- you, your mom Freda, and your whole family will be in my prayers. I hope those shots help her immune system and that she will be free from pain.

Thank you Monica and Elaine and I just wanted to let everyone know that the prayers definitely helped. Mom's Dr. had told her he wanted her white count up to 500 before they'd consider letting her go home. Saturday it reached 100 so she was afraid she'd have a few days stuck in the hospital again but Sunday morning it was up to 2400 so she got to go home. She was so happy and sounds stronger although she says she's still pretty weak. So thank you all for your prayers and loving thoughts! Huggzz to all Cheryl
