For me this time. My mom will be gone 2 years on the 26th of September.
I still miss her, esp. the way she was before the dementia hit. I cry and just am sad. Logic, I know. But since my brother lives so far away and my other brother passed away 4 months after our momma, this is a difficult time.
I just wish my brother lived closer you know, just need a hug and a shoulder to cry on I guess.

I am so sorry you are feeling blue Marian. My mom is gone also and I know it can be very hard. Sometimes a girl just gets lonely. I'll be thinking of you and sending you my hugs. Hang in there girl.

I'll be praying and sending hugs. Lost my mom 5 years ago to pancreatic cancer. You never get over it, you just get used to it. I was the same way on 9/11 (her birthday) this year. It's so hard. You;re never too old to need your mama.

We have big shoulders just right for crying on and lots of hugs to come your way, add mine to you ~HUGS for the giving~ here's a keenex too...hurting is real and I don't think it ever gets any easier, what a tribute to your Mum and brother to miss them so, you are rich to have had them...will be praying and wishing you a special comfort...Debbie

Thanks for the prayers.
My brother in Thailand and I will talk on SKYPE tomorrow, so we will be a little closer in this.
We also have put an "in memoriam" add in the paper today, so that is good too.

Marian, I'll be praying for you at this time. I know it must be very hard for you just now. Sometimes remembering the happy times you and your mom had together might help. Sending hugs and warm thoughts your way.

Sendng you special huggzz to raise your spirits Marian and please know my thoughts are with you. Is there something you can do right now to honor the memory of your mother and brother? I planted a tree one year in honor of my ex husband's grandmother. It always brought a smile to my face with warm and loving thoughts of her. Maybe something similar would help bring you some measure of peace and happiness.

Marian/Dutchy,
My prayers are with you. Oh, it is so hard to lose your mother! My mom passed away three years ago from breast cancer. I still miss her so much! Oh how I would love to see her again. She was so young when she passed. You know, I still go out on my back porch at night, and have a talk with her. One day, I hope to see her again. Hugs and prayers being sent your way from North Georgia.

Thanks gals for all the sweet replies.
You know, I wasn't as sad as I was afraid I would be!
I have talked with my brother and he too told me mom is happy now, she is doing better than when she was on this earth, esp. the last couple of years with the dementia.
So I have read a little, watched some tv in the eve. Prayed and went to sleep.
So it wasn't a real bad day after all, thanks to all the prayers.
