Hello fellow farmgirls!
thought i'd introduce myself... if you want, you can call me liz. i've lived in the small town of Carpenter, WY (100 people) for almost 2 years now. my husband and i bought a quaint little country home built in 1916 on 3/4 acre parcel and have been renovating our house since we bought it! this farmgirl lifestyle is fairly new to me... i grew up in arizona and fell in love with the outdoor lifestyle when my parents decided to move to the "middle of nowhere" when i was in high school. we lived 40 miles from a town and closest neighbors were miles away. although i live in a small town now, i long to be out in the "middle of nowhere" again someday. we do not have a farm yet, but started our first garden this spring. it's been an adventure! and has made me realize how glorious the natural life is. we plan on getting chickens and possibly goats next spring. right now we are looking into becoming more self-reliant and i'm very excited! i LOVE to cook and am happy we JUST completed renovating our tiny kitchen, so i have more room to cook! anyway, glad to meet all you gals and look foward to learning more about how to be a farmgirl!

Hello Liz. Welcome. Keep dreaming of that place in the middle of nowhere. I dreamed that, too and I'm there. So it does happen!

Hi Liz and welcome to the forum! Hubby and I are doing a renovation on a small Victorian cottage so I understand what that is like...big smile. Lots of fun for us and I hope it is for you and your hubby also. You're going to love this site. It's wonderful!

Hi Liz!

Welcome.

I'm new around here as well. Quite enjoying it so far.

You know, I have been to all of the lower 48 states and I have to say that Wyoming is definitely one of my favorites. Sounds like a great place that you are living.

My husband and I are working towards more self-reliance as well.

~Rhonda
