I broke down and decided to stop being in pain. I'm going in this afternoon for a cortizone shot into my elbow. I know that is going to hurt like the dickens too but I can barely lift a cup of coffee with this whole tendonitis thing. By evening (after working all day, then coming home to do my work as a Mom) I'm just frazzled by the pain. Wracked my elbow on the closet door trying to get blue jeans out of the washer last night and just broke down and cried. (not a teary woman BTW..) Hopefully, this will "fix" it!!! 3 1/2 months of this stuff is just to long to "grin and bear it"...
Well, I THOUGHT I was getting a shot today but all I got was about 2 weeks of steroids. Apparently, the swelling inside there is so bad that a cortisone shot could blow up the tendon. Nice. So it's home for more ice and a narcotic to sleep tonight. I seem to have both tennis elbow and golf elbow... AND I don't play either!! That just means that I have a boo-boo on BOTH sides of my elbow...no wonder I can't get a plate from the dish washer to the cupboard!
