having leftover meatballs today... they aren't italian, more of a sweet and sour recipe that's been passed down my mother's side of the family. i LOVE them! and they are one of those things that get better as they set and the flavors seep in. oh, and it's football day so that's part of why i'm having them...
I made apple sauce and am just finishing up making apple butter now. Yum! I got five gallons of apples from my aunt while visiting family in Illinois. She's made 47 quarts of applesauce and has 13 apple pies sitting in her freezer now. I've gotten 6 pints of applesauce and probably 4-5 pints of apple butter (we'll see what it boils down to, literally).
