Thanks for all the kind words, I am doing MUCH better. Hey Karen maybe I should drive the "bulldozer" Just until I am more confident.... I did go out and drive as my family "nagged" me to do so ( the things men will do to get out of having to pamper).. anyway, I am "back in the saddle again"...

One of the things I love the most about fall/winter is the cocooning. I love being inside with a fire going. We're lower than usual on firewood this year so there won't be as many. The rest of the time I make do with candles. I have a neat candle holder that fits on the hearth between the glass doors of the fireplace and the screen. Some of my favorite times are in the evening, curled up with a book and a good blanket with a fire or candles going and a cat in my lap. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Now that I've found the farmgirls and especially you wonderful mavens, I'm looking forward to the days too. Already picturing making lots of homemade bread from scratch. First thing I'm going to make when we get back from this trip is Annika's West African Peanut soup (or whatever the name of it was). It's superb!

God bless -

Teresa Sue,
We have a backhoe. Two in fact, The regular size and the super size. Hubby uses it in his business.
it would be a bit far to get it though.

I have been reading AVM every and any chance I get. I have not started my journaling yet. Need to get a notebook. Or just look around here for an extra one.

Yea, Rene, I was smacked upside the driver's side of the car coming home to visit my folks one time. Less than 10 miles from home. Stayed holed up in my room for the entire visit due to the shakes. Your guys did right by ya making you get back in the car. Sometimes the sooner you deal with it the better and having them with ya the first time is better than going it on your own methinks. And didja see, I bit the carrot you dangled!

Oh yea, now I remember what else I was going to "say." Did you all know a farmgirl cookbook is in the works? Look under the Farm Kitchen forum for specifics and reminders are posted in the Across the Fence forum. The due date for all recipes is November 22.

Well Mavens, I have to go do up my dinner dishes, and put clean sheets on the bed and then go pass out. Early morning tomarrow at the cafe.

I tried that this weekend TS and it certainly does make a difference when you can get time by yourself. Good for the clearing of the mind..........although my family thinks my mind is pretty empty most of the time anyway.

TS, I restarted my food journal Nov. 1st. I'm using a variation of FlyLady's investigator thingie. I like it because I can list the food groups, etc. and just fill in the circles to make sure I got all the groups covered. Then I do a quick list of the actual food on the bottom of the page. If anyone wants to check it out, let me know and I'll post the link tomorrow. Hubby went to bed a few minutes ago so I need to sign off in the next five. I don't wanna! I don't wanna! This is too much fun!!!
