Ooooooooooo, the view must have been fantastic! I remember my first plane ride and how exciting it was when we got above the clouds. It's such a neat feeling. Congrats on the purchases - better luck next trip with the teacup. Hopefully that trip will be a ways off.
I've been gearing up today for our next outing. Did laundry today and straightened around the house. It would look better if a bulldozer just drove in through the front window and loaded everything out.
Also baked a loaf of bread today. That was a little adventure. It's the first time I baked a round loaf. The recipe was in one of my bread machine books. It's carmelized onion bread - and it tastes great! I used the machine on the dough cycle but it doesn't have a beeper to add extras for that option so I just had to guess when to add the onions. Then they stuck to the side of the pan. I scraped and scraped and scraped to try to get them to mix in and finally gave up. When I checked about five minutes later, they were all worked into the dough! Definitely doing this one again - will post the recipe in the henhouse.

Good Morning Mavens... Hope everybody is feeling good tonight at your different homes. Rene, it is marvelous that you are alive and not hurt at all, God was watching upon you for sure. Let the tears go it is all natural and going back driving is a good thing too. Hey Tina, Lillian, AnniKa, Dawn, Karen, Denise, Teresa Sue, Lora, Ruth, so good to see you. There is a lot to do in the farms at the moment I am sure and I do apprediate so very much that you still come and spend some time with us. Corinne

Karen bread making is one of my favorite, if ya'll interrested it will post a recipe on how to make a wild yeast starter that keeps in the fridge. Putting tires of top of hay balls is very common in France too. Corinne

Ya know, I could carry my luggage and bedding in the trough and I'd have my own outpost to go!
Corinne, I'd love to have that yeast recipe. I have a friend that just shakes her head over the fact that I use a bread machine instead of making it by hand. I knead - heh heh heh! - to do more of that and the wild yeast would be a great thing to try.

Hi Corinne, Annika, Karen, Teresa Sue and anyone else who is joining in tonight. Karen~ I love making my own bread but I don't use the bread machine. I do it all by Bosch mixer and then I shape my own loaves. I HATE buying bread anymore. We have been eating the homemade for a very long time.

I will post my favorite bread recipes too then. I don't have a bread machine. I love kneading the dough and the whole act of bread making. It is so peaceful.

I just mix mine up by hand and knead it myself. It is satisfiying to do so. If you are angry, you can really beat that bread dough up!lol

Corinne, we're leaving Saturday and will be gone a week. Visiting my in-laws then one of DH's friends. Was going to visit Dawn but plans changed. No chili bonfire for me. But I am planning on flinging this spring.
The introspection time was very good. In a nutshell it came down to this: do something - do it anyway - do it now - 'cuz it's not about me. Details will come when I have more time to explain.
