Karen, if you have time and space to try to get a few seeds out of the, I would like some. I thought I would plant them back towards the back corner where no one ever really goes.

Dawn, will call soon, just checking in the at the moment. Have to go to the library, Post office since I didn't make it there on Saturday like I thought I would. It's amazing how quickly noon sneaks up on a Saturday. Then we have karate at 4:30. Whew back home to put more tarps on the roof before rain on Thursday. Isn't this FUN? Should know something from the other attorney around Turkey day. Hmmmmmm..... seems like I have been hearing that for 3 years. Deja Vu?

I think everyone here is on the mend for now. The meds the dr put me on upset the tumtum a bit, but he said I will get past that in a few weeks.

I think we lost another kitty last night. Coyotes are horrible. I really want to sit up on the roof and watch for them with the .223 and blast them off the face of the earth. Nasty little buggers. I'm all for animal conservation and what not but the DNR didn't do us any favors when they reintroduced this menace.

Looking at getting another horse, I know, just what I need. I would like something that is useful and an easy keeper. Hubby wants a monster mule (bred with a draft horse - huge)

I have made several little wool figures with the needle felting kit I got. I made a pumpkin, snowman and a bird. They are so cute. Very easy too.

I hope everyone is doing well and those that have ills be on the mend.

Hello in Kuwait!!!!

Well Hi gals!

I dont think I've posted since Halloween! did everyone have a spooky one? I did absolutely nothing. A bit sad...as I love Halooween so much! i totally missed trick or treat (it was the night before) so I couldnt mooch any candy of any local kids, and Jerry farmed late Friday so it was a quiet one for me. Except I watched....Halloween (the original one) and Psycho. Duh.

I wanted to let ya'll know that I wont be around tomorrow or the rest of the week. I am...get ready for it. WORKING. Yep. I am needed at the hatchery to do pullet deliveries 3 hours away from here so that's what I'll be doin. Then Friday I am leaving for Columbus Ohio to go to the Poultry Show at the State Fairgrounds. I am soooo excited. Looking for new prospects for the "egg machine" in the barn! Wink!

Speaking of teh egg machine. I am getting gobs of eggs now. Dark coppery ones, green and blue, white, speckled and pinkish cream. Oh, and brown. Sooo very Martha Stewart-like!

Ruth it is so nice to "hear" your voice again. As well as everyone else. I am hoping top be on tonight. Would everyone be up for signing up with yahoo messanger? Its free and its instant. Corrine and I have chatted using it and it was really nice! Any other suggestions on how to chat?

Lora: you definately have a treat in store for you. Other than completely insane dogs (stay away from Gypsy, she'll bite, I'll put her out) we are having "Chili,Bonfire and Birthday Cake" on saturday.... to all the ones that can't make it....."nanny nanny boo boo!" Jsut kidding. Its no big deal, I have to cook it all anyways!

HI Libbie! So nice to see a new face here!

Alright, I'll talk atcha tonight chicks...

Lora, I will give it my best shot. I'm gonna try two different ways: one to harvest them now and the other I read about where they're "buried", dug up in the spring and harvested then. I'll send you some of both. Okee dokee?

Dawn, how cool! $$$$$$$$ Hopefully the chicken people realized how valuable you are to them and are working to keep you. If that's what you want, great, and if not, at least you'll be making a choice instead of being forced into one. BTW, have you heard anything from the hospital interview?

Signing off to make supper for DH.

God bless -

Wow Dawn, sounds like life is Busy, busy.....

I am feeling a bit rattled tonight, as I drove to pick my youngest son up at the bus (he attends a little community school and I go and meet the bus about 10 miles out), anyway I came as close as I ever want to come to being in a head on collision ~ So close in fact they got my side view mirror ~ and when I pulled over the semi that was behind me pulled over to check on me, it was a trucker out of Tennessee and he kept petting my face, saying "I cannot believe you are alive".. Now that will rattle you.... It was really one of those moments where if you didn't believe in God you might begin to reconsider... as there seems no explanation for me being here other then somehow I got over and stopped. I haven’t stopped weeping since; maybe that is shock or anger, or gratitude... I haven’t figured it out yet.

I guess it is ok to experience this once.... as it certainly puts things into perspective in a HUGE hurry... Talk about learning in an instant NOT TO SWEAT the small stuff............that'll do it!

Uh busy...lots of farm work to do before winter. I'm going to bow out of the badges for now until I have more time to work on them, but I'll keep reading the book and commenting anyway. I'm just so behind on everything.

Thanks ladies... I have to tell you... not a lot rattles me, but I can’t stop shaking, or crying. It is weird I catch myself thinking as the kids do something, or say something... "I could have missed it". Tonight could have looked very different for our family. Annika, thanks for reminding me it is ok and normal... And the HUG was desperately needed...My husband and 17 year old son are making me "go for a drive" I think they are both scared that I wont get back on the "horse" so to speak.. and neither of them think they want to be carting me around :).............

Annika,
I am feeling behind as well... I lost all me seed pods on my heirloom tomatoes and lettuce to frost and I am hating that. I got fire wood cut today and stacked which made me feel a little more accomplished.

I understand. Living in a short season climate is always a risk for gathering seeds. I'm trying to find short season varieties to grow next spring myself.

Crying is so normal. I remember my accident. One week befoer graduation. My Bf and I were headed to a party. It was a blind left hand turn into the driveway. She was driving, I was in passenger seat when out of nowhere we were broad sided. Flipped the car we were in. BF got out fine, but I was unconscience. It took the EMT's 45 minutes with a jaws of life to get me out to do cpr (I wasnt breathing). After being rushed to hosp and checked out (fractured ribs and a goos egg on my noggin) I started crying. And didnt stop for several days. i swear the leaves looked greener and the air was fresher. I did not take anything for granted for a loooong time. Of course, as every 20 yo something does, I did...... the guy that hit us? A man in a Pulsar (remember those?) allowing his 7 year old to sit on his lap and steer.... neither of them got hurt at all.......
